Sports Shoes Industry Warming Attract Capital Market Concern
"Sports shoes and other sports related fashion clothes have a huge market.
In particular, the relatively low price of domestic brands, so that many domestic consumers can also ask for it, so they have nothing to do with luxury goods that have been very popular in the Chinese market.
In a study released in July 25th, Rui credit said.
With the gradual warming of the Olympic fever in China, the sporting goods industry is attracting more and more attention from the capital market.
In addition to the Olympic economy, the change of lifestyle of Chinese residents has given the sporting goods more and more room for growth.
For young people, wearing sports brand is becoming more and more fashionable.
Credit Suisse specifically mentioned that in many primary and secondary schools in China, the school specifically designed school uniforms as sportswear, indicating that sports and leisure products are becoming an important part of the consumption of young people.
The consumption of sports brand is concentrated among people aged 15 to 25. This age group has a large number of consumers, and they have a certain spending power, which directly supports the continued growth of sports products.
Credit Suisse believes that in the next few years, sporting goods will continue to maintain good growth, and its total retail sales will grow by 15.2% and 14.7% respectively in 2007 and 2008.
At the same time, the increasingly strong consumption ability of Chinese residents will also make sports products better priced.
According to ZOU, a sporting goods consulting firm, China's sporting goods industry will maintain an annual growth rate of 23%.
However, Credit Suisse believes that this figure is still too cautious, because if the growth rate of ZOU forecasts, by 2010, China's per capita sporting goods consumption will only reach 1/3 of the Asian countries.
But according to the World Federation of Sporting Goods lndustry, China's sporting goods consumption per capita is about to reach the average level in Asia, so Credit Suisse believes that China's sporting goods industry is growing staggering.
Although price is still an important factor, quality and brand awareness have more and more influence on consumers.
China's economic development has given local brands no less than the growth space of internationally famous brands.
In such a large scale market in China, there is a huge difference in demand for sports brands, which also enables more brands with different grades and prices to find a living space.
