In the first quarter of this year, the export growth rate of textiles and clothing for Wujiang's two major export markets, the US and the EU, continued to rise.

Exports of textiles and clothing to the United States amounted to US $35 million 748 thousand, an increase of 8.3% over the same period last year, and exports to European clothing amounted to US $19 million 390 thousand, an increase of 11.3% over the same period last year.

According to analysis, the main reason for the steady growth of Wujiang's textiles and clothing is, on the one hand, with the gradual recovery of the confidence of the European and American economies and consumer markets, especially after more than a year of shrinking international clothing consumption, the demand for clothing will show a greater degree of rigid demand.

On the other hand, continuously improving the added value of products is also a factor that promotes the garment export in the first quarter.

While exporting garment enterprises strive to optimize their own product mix, they actively develop their own brands, pform their export trade ways and enhance their bargaining power.

The export volume of export clothing trade in the first quarter for general trade amounted to US $64 million 243 thousand, an increase of 15.8% over the same period last year, accounting for 89.2% of the total trade mode exports, and the trade structure of export products has been continuously optimized.
