In the Wuxi blue print Museum on Qian Rong Road, curator Lu Ruixing and his daughter, Lu Qi, who just returned from the 2010 China Cultural Festival Exhibition in Yale University, are finishing blue prints.
In 1949, some blue prints of the early liberation period, such as "Celebrating liberation", "labor pplanting" and "agricultural mechanization", were added to the traditional elements such as tractors and airplanes.
A "2 meter long, 40 cm wide" celebration of liberation is the most popular quilt at that time, showing a strong flavor of life.
The pattern fully reflects the major historical events in that historical period, and the blue printed cloth has become a vivid history textbook at the beginning of the founding of new China.
According to Lu curator, the study of Chinese traditional culture abroad now does not satisfy the superficial understanding of dragon and Phoenix and plant totem, but extends to the study of the influence of social foundation and its superstructure changes on cultural heritage. Therefore, this museum not only brings works that have not been publicly exhibited, but also has more than 30 pieces of valiant objects that have never been exhibited abroad.
It is understood that, as the first private private museum in Wuxi, the Wuxi blue print Museum has been established for nearly 7 years. Lu Ruixing devoted all its energy to this museum. It has invested millions of yuan, and it has been paved from the folk collection of vale, up to more than 3000 square meters.
To Lu Ruixing's pride, the museum has been self-supporting since its opening day, and has not paid a cent to the state, and has refused some commercial sponsorship.
At present, the production of blue printed cloth products in Tongxiang, Zhejiang occupies half of the market share of the blue printed cloth, some of which are from the Wuxi blue print house.
The museum not only provides free copies of the latest designs to the Chinese counterparts, but also introduces the trend of the development of blue prints in the museum's "China blue print net".
After several US Trips, Lu Rui learned the latest market information and trend of printing and dyeing, and had new ideas for promoting Wuxi's blue print and dyeing technology.
At present, Lu Ruixing is inspired by foreign museums, ready to implement the volunteer system in the museum, and start from the "curator". As long as the conditions are available, anyone can be the curator, and a brand new "curator manual" is being compiled.
