World Expo Seychelles Unification Council Donated Ethnic Costumes

In June 10th, the Seychelles National Arts Committee held a reception ceremony to accept a group of ethnic costumes donated by the Seychelles China Peace Unification Promotion Association to support the June 18th Shanghai World Expo Seychelles National Pavilion celebration day.

The donated ethnic costumes were carefully designed and produced by the Zhongshan Chinese dress limited company from the official materials provided by Seychelles. They were praised by the Seychelles for their high-grade fabrics and comfortable clothing.

At the donation ceremony, Ms. JacquelineMoustache-Belle, executive director of the National Art Council of Seychelles, received the national costume, the Seychelles national television and the news reporters of the official Seychelles national newspaper on behalf of the government. He attended the ceremony and interviewed the president of the India peace Unification Promotion Association of Seychelles, vice chairman of the India foreign Unification Promotion Council, and the honorary president of the African China General Chamber of Commerce.

President Liao Zhifeng said that the National Pavilion Day was selected by the participating countries during the Shanghai World Expo to choose a specific date as a national celebration day. Seychelles chose the national day as host day to host the event in the exhibition hall, which will focus on the image of the Seychelles national culture, further promote Seychelles International exchanges, and also enable the Chinese people to further understand Seychelles and promote the friendship between China and Cyprus.

President Liao Zhifeng believed that the Seychelles national costume formed in the specific social life and natural environment, conforms to the Seychelles national habits and aesthetic consciousness, and is a reflection of the Seychelles national politics, economy, ideology and culture.

Seychelles national costumes will show the Seychelles' "national history" on the ceremony, performances and visits of the Seychelles Pavilion, reflecting the unique features of the people of the Seychelles who live in harmony, hospitality and ease of life, and complement the pavilion's theme of "sustainable urban development: Seychelles special case" of the Seychelles National Pavilion.

President Liao Zhifeng finally said that Seychelles and China had established diplomatic relations 34th anniversary, and bilateral relations have developed smoothly, and bilateral exchanges and cooperation in economic and trade relations, culture, education and health have been continuously strengthened.

In 2011, the first Chinese emigration to Seychelles 150th anniversary commemorates the Seychelles. A series of commemorative activities will be held in Seychelles. The Seychelles Chinese peaceful reunification Promotion Association will draw on line with the resources of the Seychelles political circles, business circles and societies, and Chinese overseas Chinese affairs departments, and continue to give support and donations within their capacity to jointly commemorate activities and promote the development of friendship between the two countries.
