A total of 50 batches of products were inspected. The formaldehyde, pH value, fiber content and color fastness of 19 batches of products produced by 14 enterprises did not meet the product standards.

In a children's clothing store on Shuangqiao Road, the reporter saw that the children's clothes sold here are mostly fancy and have various cartoon designs.

The reporter picked up a short sleeved shirt worn by children under the age of three and smelled it. There was a sharp smell of formaldehyde.

The reporter looked at the label on the children's clothing, and saw no description of the formaldehyde content.

"This dress is so fancy, and it has a pungent smell. Will it contain formaldehyde?"

The reporter interviewed 10 children who were buying children's clothing. 6 of them said they were not sure whether the children's fabric contained formaldehyde. 2 people heard that they contained formaldehyde, but they did not know how to distinguish it. Another 2 people did not believe that there was formaldehyde in the clothes.
