Turkey'S Shoes From China Occupy A Leading Position.

According to the Republic of Turkey reported on June 28th, Adana is one of the most important economic provinces in Turkey. Recently, the data released by the provincial chamber of Commerce show that the import volume of footwear in this province has risen sharply last year, with imported shoes from China and India playing a leading role.

Adana's foreign trade has always been dominated by leather, cotton spinning, tobacco and other industries.

It is reported that the footwear export volume of the province in 2004 -2008 has been greater than the import volume, but in 2009 the footwear export volume of the province dropped by nearly three times, and the import volume increased significantly. And India and China had replaced Italy as the largest source of footwear imports in the province. One year last year, the Province imported 365 thousand and 700 pairs of shoes from India, accounting for 47% of the total imports, and 133 thousand and 900 pairs of shoes imported from China, accounting for 17% of imports.
