Asian American Fashion Designers Are Beginning To Make Their Mark.

Three men went on stage to receive the award: Richard Choi received the men's wear designer award, Wu Jigang won the women's wear designer award and Alexander Wang won the accessory Designer Award.

Wu Jigang, who has become a household name in the United States and Taiwan, said: "this is very exciting.

Not long ago, Donna, Karen and Mike Karl were young designers in the US.

Now, as Asian American designers, we have welcomed many of the first time.

Asian designers are on the top of the New York fashion circle, representing an important demographic change in the fashion industry.

In the fashion week that will be opened on Thursday, many of the most promising new designers are Asian, including Wu Jigang, Alexander, Wang, Ta Kuhn, GoerTek, Pu La, Gao long, Philip Lin, Derek Lin.

These names will increasingly represent the future of the fashion industry.

Since 90s, a large number of Asian Americans and students born in Asia have been pouring into the famous design institutes all over the world. This phenomenon is partly due to the fact that these schools recruit students in the fast developing countries such as Korea and Japan, partly because of the changing attitudes of these countries to the fashion industry.

School officials say seventy percent of Parson's design school students are from Asia.
