    From spinning to weaving to clothing, a piece of cloth is interwoven with a wide variety of fiber materials.

    People are used to extract natural fibers from cotton, linen, wool and silk or make synthetic fibers from petrochemical materials.

    In recent years, scientists have extracted fibers from materials such as soybeans and bamboo.

    Inspired by this idea, Dan Xinghai, who has been in the weaving business for more than 10 years, has started the idea of Huang Cao.


    In 2005, the Hangzhou Linte Research Institute was found by a bunch of yellow grass produced in the town of Gao Xing, and asked to test whether yellow grass could be used for spinning.

    The test results showed that the length of the single fiber in the yellow grass was 1.2 mm and the plant fiber content was 55%.

    The answer is: spinning yarn completely.


    Also in 2005, the Vietnam city science and Technology Bureau organized the docking activities between science and technology experts and enterprises.

    After the docking, Dongjiang craft weaving began a cooperation project with Zhejiang University: "research and development of green agriculture renewable resources".

    The project is also listed as a major science and technology project in the province.


    After 5 years of repeated experiments, researchers finally spun yellow grass into silk thread.

    Dan Xinghai said that the yellow grass was first dried and broken, and the straw pulp was extracted from it. Then, the cellulose fiber was extracted as raw material and then processed by spinning and post-processing.

    The yellow grass fiber was born.


    In May this year, the project was accepted by the provincial science and Technology Department's major scientific and technological projects.

    The project has also applied for 5 national invention patents, of which 2 have been authorized.

    In addition to natural and renewable raw materials and no pollution in the production process, the main advantages of yellow grass fiber made of fabrics are sweat absorption, good air permeability, harmless to the body, and easier staining.


    Dan Xinghai disclosed that at present, he has independently developed a spinning equipment suitable for the preparation of herbaceous cellulosic fibers, and has also set up a new company, which is planning the production line of 1000 ton capacity, and the equipment has entered the installation and commissioning stage.

    It is estimated that according to the existing production technology, 2 tons of dried yellow grass can extract 1 tons of fiber, the lowest price can reach 25 thousand yuan per ton, and the economic benefits are obvious.


    Gao Bu Town responsible person said, nearly 3000 households in the town planted yellow grass, planting area of more than 2000 acres, the surrounding villages and towns also have a large number of farmers planting, the success of yellow grass fiber project will greatly boost the income of farmers around.
