Textile and garment industry

After continuous construction, renovation and expansion, there are 1500 textile and garment enterprises, of which 146 are over scale enterprises, with sales revenue of over 100 million yuan, 16 enterprises, annual production capacity of 250 million (sets), and 52 thousand employees.

The industry has formed a complete industrial chain of spinning, weaving, dyeing and finishing, garment processing and domestic and foreign trade. It has formed five major regional frameworks, namely, Dongcheng (Ningbo City), Western District (Xicheng District garment industrial area) and Geng Zhuang bridge denim garment district, East Wang Hou textile clothing area and Sujia Zhuang knitted leisure clothing industrial zone. It promotes the development of textile and garment industry in 15 townships (districts) and more than 200 villages in the whole county, and is one of four pillar industries in the county.

At present, there are 1 famous brand products in China, 9 famous trademarks in the province, and 2 famous brand products in China.

Whether it is the industrial foundation or the number of brands, they all rank the top in the province.

In 2007, the county was awarded the title of "China's famous leisure wear city". It was designated as the textile and garment industry cluster by the China Textile and apparel industry association and the China clothing association.

Ningjin County

Taking the overall innovation as the driving force and upgrading technology as the means, we fully embody the advantages of industrial clusters, focusing on the development of new textile, high-grade textiles, industrial and household textiles, high-grade children's wear, jeans and leisure wear products, and are building a "one city, four districts, one market" textile and garment industry pattern.

In the 2010 government work report, the county proposed that we should vigorously implement the eighty billion plan for the characteristic industries, of which the textile and garment industry exceeded 10 billion yuan in 2012.

By 2012, the county's textile and clothing output value exceeded 10 billion. By 2015, the county's spinning production capacity reached 800 thousand, and there were 1000 new shuttleless looms and 300 knitting machines. It produced 300 million pieces of clothing, 5 million sets of household textiles and 40000 tons of industrial textiles.
