    Tangible VS invisible


    When people judge the value of external things, only when they first realize the existence of things can they further recognize its value.

    Some things are tangible. As long as they can see and hear, they can be aware of their existence. But invisible things can not be seen or heard, and they can only be perceived by "imagination".

    If a person can only perceive things with his eyes and ears, and can not perceive things in the way of imagination and experience, he will not be able to recognize the value of intangible things.

    However, the value that invisible things can produce is always greater than that of tangible things. Therefore, a person can only see tangible value and further recognize the existence of intangible value, which reflects the maturity and heat of this person.


    For example, when the average person gets employed, the salary they get is tangible, and the learning environment for their work is intangible. A good learning environment can bring greater growth to individuals' abilities, and better performance, so that their personal achievements are higher, so their value is much higher than that of tangible salaries.

    But many people do not see these intangible values when choosing jobs, so they often make decisions only based on the slight difference in salary at the moment. The more mature people are, the more aware of the importance of learning environment, and the better environment they will choose to seek greater intangible value.


    Short term VS long term


    Between farming and harvesting, it usually involves time.

    Some things will be recovered soon after they are put into operation, but the duration of their benefits will be relatively short. Once the benefits are reflected, they must be reinvested in order to produce benefits again.

    In addition, there are some things that require long-term cultivation, and in the short term, no obvious effect can be seen. However, their benefits are very long lasting. The longer the time is, the greater the magnification of benefits will be, and the overall effectiveness will be 100 times the short-term benefits.


    But it can be recovered immediately after putting it into operation. It seems to be quite attractive on the surface. Many people will be attracted by it. Therefore, in thinking and decision-making, it is easy to tend to pay attention to immediate immediate benefits, but fail to attach importance to, or do not have patience to engage in long-term work, and form the so-called "shortsightedness".

    While a mature person can tolerate the phenomenon of short term benefits, and choose long-term cultivation and pursue long-term benefits, we say that a person is "visionary".

    Therefore, we can measure the maturity of a person from the judgement and decision of a person to the short-term benefit or the pursuit of long-term benefits.


    Relative VS absolute


    Almost everything in the world is relative, not absolute.

    For example, good or bad is the result of relative comparison. When we say something is "good", it means "after comparison with another thing, relatively good" rather than "absolutely good".

    In other words, between good and bad, not 100 points and 0 points of two points.

    "Good" may be 70 points good or 90 points good; "bad" may be 59 points bad, or 20 points bad.

    But an immature person will be accustomed to judging things by absoluteness, and only the absolute dichotomy of "good" and "bad".

    Combining the above 4 indicators, when we judge a person's maturity, we can observe his thinking and decision when he or she decides whether a thing can be taken into account in many aspects, whether he can see the intangible value, whether he pays attention to long-term benefits, and whether he can use relative logic to judge whether or not things can be judged.

    Therefore, a person's maturity is not enough, and the depth of the fire is not deep. It depends on how much he knows about the above things and his strong habits.
