　　 Nike (NKE) today released its second quarter financial report in fiscal year 2011. The report shows that Nike Net profit in the second quarter increased by 22% over the same period last year, but future orders are less than analysts expect. In the quarter ending November 30th, Nike's net profit in the second quarter was $457 million and earnings per share were 94 cents, which is better than the same period last year. In the second quarter of fiscal year 2010, Nike's net profit was $375 million and earnings per share were 76 cents. Nike's second quarter revenue was $4 billion 840 million, an increase of 10% over the same period last year of $4 billion 410 million. Excluding the impact of exchange rate changes, Nike's second quarter revenue grew 11% over the same period last year.

Nike's second quarter results were better than those expected by Wall Street analysts. Nike's earnings per share in the second quarter were 88 cents and revenue was $4 billion 810 million, according to Thomson Reuters survey.

The total order of Nike shoes and clothing, scheduled for December 2010 to April 2011, was $7 billion 700 million, up 11% over the same period last year, and these orders received the least influence from the exchange rate changes. Nike said that excluding the impact of exchange rate changes, Nike's future orders increased by 11%, which is used to measure the key indicators of Nike's revenue growth.

On the same day, Nike shares rose 2.03 dollars in the regular trading on the New York stock exchange, closing at $92.30, or 2.25%. In the aftermarket trading that ended at 18:36 pm Eastern time (7:36 Beijing time 22), Nike shares fell 4.97 US dollars to 87.33 US dollars, or 5.38%.

In early trading today, Nike's stock hit a record high of $92.49. Since Nike released its stronger first quarter results in September 23rd, its stock price has risen nearly 19%. As of yesterday, Nike's share price has risen by 40%.
