EU has the largest share of exports

According to the statistics of Zhongshan entry-exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau, there are nearly 700 garment export enterprises in Zhongshan. Among them, the annual export volume is more than 50 million US dollars or more, 2, 10 million US dollars or more, 36, 100-1000 US $250, less than US $1 million a year, accounting for more than half of the total number of enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises still occupy the dominant position, and the main trade mode is processing trade.

It is understood that the main types of clothing exported in Zhongshan are mainly casual wear, jeans, underwear, wedding dresses and baby clothes.

In the post financial crisis period, Shaxi, Xiaolan, triangle, populace, Dalong and other townships as the center, formed a professional cluster with certain regional characteristics and industrial comparative advantages, and attracted the return of merchants again, thus driving the whole garment export industry to pick up quickly.

According to the statistics of export value in 2010, Zhongshan's clothing export market is still dominated by the five regions of the European Union, the United States, Hongkong, Australia and Japan, occupying more than 80% of the total export volume of the whole city.

The difference is that the ranking of major export areas has changed. The EU has replaced Hongkong as the largest garment export area in Zhongshan. The United States ranked second, while Hongkong dropped to third, while Australia took the place of Japan for fourth.

Inspection on safety performance of children's clothing

While garment exports have rebounded in an all-round way, international buyers have also put forward higher and higher production requirements for enterprises. Especially in the aspect of Baby Garments, Zhongshan entry-exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau has started to increase the intensity of spot checks since 2010.

According to Wang Yuxiang, chief of the Department of chemical spinning of Zhongshan entry-exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the baby clothing used to belong to the illegal inspection of goods, and was not included in the supervision of Zhongshan entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau.

Up to the second half of 2009, the Zhongshan entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau has carried out inspection on the safety performance of ropes and small parts for children's children's clothing, including the tightened inspection of the safety performance of children's children's wear rope and small parts.

Because the requirements of children's safety performance are mostly new in recent years, many enterprises know little or nothing about it, and the situation is not optimistic.

At present, it is found that production enterprises still do not conform to the national export standards, and thus cause returns.

"Enterprises must compare the relevant international standards and requirements of customers, and produce according to the highest standards, so as to ensure smooth export."
