Jun Tai Department store and Jiaojiang platinum shopping center are located opposite the Jinjiang department store. They fall down one after another.
And Jinjiang department stores are still strong. Why?
Chen Yaoming, chairman of Taizhou Jinjiang Commercial Development Co., Ltd. believes that there is still room for market in Taizhou's department stores.
Although competition is getting bigger and bigger, finding a good location is also crucial.
Over the years, Jinjiang and Yao Da have been recognized by Taizhou citizens on the basis of their deep foundation and clear brand positioning.

Industry shuffling is inevitable.
Since 2008, it is rumoured that Yintai will enter Taizhou and will build a shopping area of 60 thousand square meters near the cross road section of Jiaojiang.
And now the new world department stores are withdrawn, and the new age shopping center has evaporated overnight.
Does Yintai department still appear on the Jiaojiang cross road? It has not been very active now, and even there are rumors in the bookstore that Yintai will not come.
"Yintai will come, but it may be around 2012 when we meet with the people of Taizhou."
The Jiaojiang trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau's market and trade section chief Xiao Wei has confirmed the fact that Yintai will be stationed in Taizhou, and said that the entry of Yintai will be an industry shuffle for Taizhou's department stores.
"The overall level of the department store industry in Taizhou may be enhanced accordingly."
Shang Xiaofa said, in the future, Taizhou department stores will not be able to avoid the pattern of "big fish eating small fish". Some weak department stores are likely to be brutally eliminated in fierce competition.
"At present, the circulation industry of our city's department stores is fiercely competitive, and the quality of the industry is different, and homogenization is serious."
Shang Ke Chang said that the risk of large investment, limited management level, lack of brand management characteristics and other factors led to the survival of the rental market model is rather difficult.
If the platinum shopping center in Jiaojiang is a typical rental mall, poor management is the key reason for its sudden death.
At the same time, Shang Ke chief thinks that although the department store industry of Jiaojiang has initially formed the core business circle of cross roads, the drawbacks of the combined city lead to Taizhou still a "hollow city".
As a three tier city, it is very difficult for shopping centers to introduce international first-line brands, leading to serious homogenization of shopping malls. There is an urgent need for all shopping malls to adjust their business strategies, dislocation competition and orderly competition.
Another industry insider who did not want to be named revealed that the development of large department stores in Taizhou has far exceeded the market capacity and purchasing power in terms of quantity and quality.
Why, then, will there be large shopping malls open? This industry has analyzed that the establishment of a large commercial building has a long process from raising funds to building up to formal business. Many projects have been established in previous years, some are being started, others have already been completed, but they know that competition is fierce, but they have been unable to ride a tiger.
