Most Chinese Shoe Companies Lost Their Voice In The Anti Dumping Plea &Nbsp, And AOKANG Insisted On Coming Down.
After five years of hard debate, Chinese shoe companies are in the EU.
Anti-dumping
Before the big stick finally came to the surface.
The reporters obtained information from the website of the Ministry of Commerce and the China Leather Association. The European Commission issued a bulletin in March 16th, announcing that the anti-dumping measures for leather shoes made in China and Vietnam will soon expire because they have not received any application for the review of the European Union shoe Federation.
From March 31, 2011, the European Union will formally stop levying anti-dumping duties on leather shoes produced by Vietnam and China.
The EU's anti-dumping against China's leather shoes for nearly five years ended at the end of this month.
Five years ago, why did this lawsuit arise?
Five years! For Chinese shoe enterprises, the key to this development in five years, they suffered the EU's head start.
In order to protect the interests of some southern European shoe enterprises, in October 2006, the EU decided to impose a 16.5% anti-dumping duty on Chinese leather shoes for two years.
In October of the same year,
AOKANG
Five Chinese shoe companies such as Wenzhou Tamar refused to accept the appeal to the EU junior court.
In May 2010, in other
Shoe enterprises
When the appeal was waived, AOKANG appealed to the European Union High Court.
Time flew to 2011.
In March 8th, anti dumping measures against Chinese leather shoes were expected to end at the end of March.
In March 16, 2011, the European Commission formally issued a notice announcing that the anti-dumping duty on Chinese leather shoes was formally suspended from March 31, 2011.
Why did AOKANG insist on appeals for five years?
The EU's "anti-dumping stick" has no doubt about the serious impact on China's leather shoes industry.
Guangdong and Wenzhou are China's two largest export bases for shoes, the hardest hit.
Take Wenzhou as an example.
According to Hangzhou customs statistics, in the fourth quarter of 2006, Wenzhou leather shoes exported to the EU 31 million 414 thousand and 600 pairs, the value of goods was 146 million 500 thousand dollars, two indicators were 32.63% and 41.55% lower than the third quarter of 2006, and export enterprises also reduced 7.89% than the third quarter.
In the five year defense road of "anti-dumping", most Chinese shoe enterprises lost their voice.
Last night, a factory owner in Longwan, Wenzhou told reporters that AOKANG had consulted him and discussed joint prosecution.
But he gave up: "after all, don't go to Europe to sell shoes."
The boss said that one of the important reasons for giving up litigation is considering the long litigation time, complicated procedures, high risks, and huge cost of manpower and resources.
As a result, only more than 2000 Chinese enterprises affected by antidumping were insisting on defense until the end of the.
Wang Zhentao, President of AOKANG group and vice-chairman of China Leather Association, insisted: "the average price of AOKANG exported leather shoes is about 20 dollars, which is 5 times the average export price of leather shoes in Wenzhou. We do not have dumping."
"At that time, many enterprises didn't quite understand the rules of the game.
We are not going to be in the limelight. We are pioneers.
Besides making shoes, we have a responsibility for the industry and society. "
Is China's shoe industry a smooth future?
The EU's anti-dumping on Chinese leather shoes for nearly five years will finally die.
It's good news for China's shoe industry, but it doesn't mean they can breathe a sigh of relief.
Wei Yafei, director of the office of the China Leather Association, said that while announcing the abolition of anti-dumping duties, the European Commission also announced that it would closely monitor the export of Chinese and Vietnamese leather shoes to the European Union for a year. If the situation needs, it will still take prompt measures.
"Under these conditions, I think it is more important to enhance the added value of our products, to make our high-end products better and improve the technological content of products."
Wei Ya Fei said.
"Regulate their own trade practices, improve product research and development and brand value added, create diversified markets, optimize export product structure, and focus on the construction and protection of independent intellectual property rights.
Ultimately, the quality of products will be won on the international market, rather than by low prices. Only in this way can China's shoes industry seize the initiative and win the right to speak on the international stage.
Wang Zhentao, President of AOKANG group and vice chairman of China Leather Association, said.
For Wenzhou's small and medium-sized shoe enterprises, this is both an opportunity and a challenge.
"Exporting to Europe is what we want. We will no longer blindly export, but regulate our trade practices, improve product quality and let others seize the handle."
Li boss of Wenzhou Economic Development Zone said.
