1, the cotton area has increased steadily.

The majority of cotton farmers have grasped the favorable meteorological conditions and planted seedlings in more than 470 thousand acres of cotton fields in the county. Except for a few farmers with larger cotton planting area who began sowing before the end of March, most of the cotton farmers were concentrated in the fine weather after the two precipitation before and after "Qingming", and basically completed by April 13th.

About 10% of the seeds were planted after the wheat was pplanted, and the latest cotton farmers ended in April 23rd.

This year's cotton seeding and planting, most cotton planting households used neighborhood combination and helpers to help each other, which shortened the seeding time of a single seedbed and brought people a sense of quick resolution. The whole sowing date was 7 days earlier than last year.

Because cotton growers attach great importance to the quality of cotton seeding this year, extensive use of plastic film mulching technology has effectively prevented the bad weather from affecting the seedbed after planting, and the situation of seedling is obviously better than that of previous years.

It has been observed that the emergence time of cotton sown at different times is also prolonged.

The seeding time in March 26th was 8-10 days, but after April 8th, the temperature was rising quickly, the weather was dry and hot, and the emergence time was only 6-7 days.

The average time of emergence was shortened by 5 days compared with that of last year, and no matter which time period was sowed, there was no rot phenomenon this year. The seedlings were more neatly arranged, the tender leaves and tender green manure were thicker, the seedling bodies were solid and strong, and the seedling emergence rate was basically 80-85%, which was nearly 2 percent higher than that of last year. It is the best year for seedling emergence in recent years.

At present, the main energy of cotton growers will be put into the management of Seedbed and the cultivation of big and strong seedlings. Scientific management will be carried out according to the weather changes and the growth of cotton seedlings in the bed. Ventilation should be chosen at the right time, reasonably drying the bed, tempering and controlling the length, strengthening seedlings and promoting the growth, preventing diseases and curing pests, and doing everything possible to raise the seedling rate and ensure the seedling pplanting of strong seedlings.
