Hunan Institute of Engineering, founded in 1951, is located in the hometown of Mao Zedong, the great man of Xiangtan. It was approved by the Ministry of education in 2000 6. It was merged by Xiangtan electrical and Mechanical College and Hunan Textile College.

Textile and Clothing Institute

Founded in 1978, the Institute of textile and clothing has been developing for 32 years.

The college has two specialties in textile engineering, clothing design and engineering, and garment design and engineering is one of the seven specialties of Hunan province.
