Adidas Group Will Open Its Largest Distribution Center In 2013.

It is announced that it plans to open its largest distribution center in the first half of 2013, which is located in Niedersachsenpark, Germany.

The planned distribution center will integrate all the logistics and services of the three sales channels of Adidas and Reebok brand: wholesale, retail and e-commerce.

The centre will create more than 200 long-term employment opportunities with a total investment of more than 100 million euros and is scheduled to be completed in 2013.

"By 2015, we hope that our business will grow to 17 billion euros.

The new distribution center will help us increase delivery speed and improve service efficiency for customers and consumers, "said Herbert Heiner, chief executive of Adidas group.

"Investment in iedersachsenpark's most advanced facilities also shows our commitment to the German domestic market."

By 2015, planned

The distribution center will distribute more than 100 million products to Western Europe every year.

Standardized distribution process, fully automated and integrated IT solutions will ensure a high level of service for Western European customers.

The distribution center plans to break ground in August 2011.

It started operation in the first half of 2013 and runs at full capacity in 2015.

The distribution center is part of Adidas group Green's initiative to reduce its environmental footprint.
