The leaders of Shandong apparel industry association, Qingdao textile and garment industry association, Shandong Leather Industry Association, Jiangsu Light Industry Association, China International Trade Promotion Committee, Shandong provincial branch, representatives of domestic and foreign enterprises, and news media and more than 800 people attended the reception.

    The leather industry of Shandong is made up of four main industries, including leather, leather shoes, shoes and leather, leather chemical industry, leather machinery, shoe materials, leather hardware, leather and products, specialized markets, shopping malls and other supporting industries. After continuous construction and development, a complete system has been formed from production, scientific research to personnel training and market development.

    At present, pigskin leather making ranks first in the country in terms of level, quality and output. The output of light leather occupies third of the whole country, accounting for 6.3% of the whole country.

    Shandong's leather shoes account for fifth of the country's total output, accounting for 2.7% of the country's total, and leather clothing output ranks second in the country, accounting for 12.3% of the country's total.

    The Qingdao International Convention and Exhibition Center has two exhibition halls (hall 2, leather shoes material hall, 3 hall shoe machine hall), which displays leather, shoe material, shoemaking equipment and related software, media and so on.
