Over the past two years, Diane von Furstenberg has brought new fashions to the Fashion Awards of the American Fashion Designers Association (CFDA).

Von Furstenberg pointed out that in the past few years, CFDA has not only initiated the "Made in Midtown" research project, but also participated in arranging the fashion week's fashion show.

In the past, about 12 to 13 designers joined each year, and now this number is close to 30.

The sales power of CFDA is huge because it covers a large part of the global fashion industry.
Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Coach, Donna Karan, Michael Kors, Gap and J. J. all cooperate with it.
CFDA members can benefit in many ways, such as business service outlets, and enterprises can use it as a network interaction tool.
"We are now more open to businesses, and many companies are starting to work with us continuously.
Whether they are cars or coffee, people like to turn consumer goods into fashion.
Through business service outlets, more and more companies are contacting us, hoping to cooperate with designers.

The two leaders are also proud of the motion of innovation design protection and piracy prevention act, which will protect the copyright of fashion designers and clothing brands and prevent others from counterfeiting.
The Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously passed the bill, which provided for three years of copyright protection for original designers in December last year.
Although the bill will be re examined this year, it will need to be passed by the house and Senate before it is signed to President Obama, but von Furstenberg says all efforts have been successful.
"Cheap clothing giants such as H & M and Target department stores are starting to hire designers. This is good news, which means that we have an impact on the whole industry and our task is to improve the value of design."

In order to further publicize the idea of "eradicate imitation", CFDA drafted a manifesto.
It emphasizes the importance of innovation, and puts forward some specific case analysis. "For example, just changing the skirt does not mean that it is your design, it still belongs to others," Kolb said.
CFDA has just launched a series of anti-counterfeiting products with eBay, including a limited edition designer customized handbag production line, so as to enhance people's awareness of the problem of "eradicate counterfeiting".

This year is the tenth year of SWAROVSKI's sponsorship of the CFDA awards. Von Furstenberg believes that it is a success to move the award venue to the Alice Tully Hall of Lincoln Center, and the New York fashion week is also held here.

CFDA changed the start date of the New York fashion week to the second Thursday of February and September to match the schedule of other fashion week to make it more efficient.
CFDA also plans to turn the fashion week schedule into an electronic version, making it easier to adjust.
In recent years, there has been a lot of debate about whether New York men's wear week should be set up separately.
Kolb said that although this may not seem feasible, CFDA will continue to raise concerns about men's clothing industry and promote men's designers in other ways to support American designers to display their works in Europe.
In addition, Kolb also explained that CFDA will continue to pay attention to the issue of seasonal shipment of goods and clothing in fashion week, which is very important to the fashion industry. CFDA has always attached great importance to this.
Teddy Forstmann, chairman and chief executive of IMG, the world's leading public relations company and New York fashion week's main sponsor, has just undergone a brain tumor resection last week.
Whether the impact on fashion week is unclear, but Kolb said CFDA will pay close attention to the trend of fashion week. In February next year, CFDA, 50, will show his works at the New York Fashion Institute.
The exhibition will be co hosted by CFDA and Valerie Steele and Patricia Mears, head of FIT Fashion Museum.

Recently, CFDA signed a two-year partnership with Samsung in South Korea to launch an exchange of designers between the United States and South Korea.
