This puts forward higher requirements for the development of chemical materials company.

But obviously, there are many difficulties in the development of environmental friendly chemicals.

It is reported that two sections of soaking and soaking have accounted for about 80% of the total tannery pollution.

The cooperation between Dongyang and Xingye leather began in 2003.

At that time, through cooperation with foreign medical research departments, Dongyang first developed the environmental friendly Liming Agent and soaking agent by combining medical principles with tanning technology for the first time.

"At present, this technology has been used by more than ten enterprises in Jinjiang, but they are all large leather enterprises such as Xingye and Sindh, and there are no medium-sized leather factories.

Environmentally friendly chemical products are relatively expensive, and they will increase the cost considerably if they are used in large quantities, which greatly limits the promotion of our environmental friendly chemicals. "

Today, the Dongyang company is developing a new environmental protection technology -- "waste liquid recycling and reuse".

It is learnt that leather enterprises generally discharge waste water after processing, but after processing, there will be more or less a certain pollution, and will reduce the enterprise's "leather yield."

Once the technology is successful, the waste water will not be discharged in the leather making process, but will be recycled directly.

Under the pressure of cost, Zhang has a bold idea: after the success of the technology development, the whole leather industry chain will benefit.

Instead of being able to afford only a few large enterprises because of the high cost of research and development, it is better for leather enterprises and finished shoe enterprises to participate in the research and development of raw materials.

The whole industry chain will work together to develop R & D to share the cost of R & D and reduce the price of environment-friendly materials. In the future, more and more small and medium-sized leather enterprises will also be able to afford it.

"At present, there are few leather enterprises with this awareness, let alone finished shoes and clothing enterprises."

"Upstream and downstream enterprises to study and share the high cost of environmental protection technology is a good thing for the whole leather industry chain. Especially for many small and medium-sized leather enterprises in Jinjiang, the production of green leather will no longer be powerless."

But at the same time, Cai also said, as Zhang said, the development of environmental protection technology needs a lot of manpower and financial resources, and it takes a long time. Even though the industry is determined to do so, it is not enough to rely solely on the strength of their leather.

"The strength of small and medium-sized enterprises is limited, and I personally feel that, under the lead of the association, several leading leather enterprises can reach agreement and participate in the technology research and development of the upstream chemical plant.

After the technology is developed, it will be shared with the whole leather industry. "

Cai Jianshe said that as a leading enterprise in the leather industry, they have the responsibility and intention to make more efforts for the environmental protection of the leather industry in Jinjiang.

As the lower and lower reaches of the chemical material factory, Li Fumin, executive deputy general manager of Fujian Shishi Lin Sen shoes and clothing Development Co., Ltd. is quite dissatisfied with Zhang Zhuangdou's assumption.

"As the downstream of leather enterprises, when we buy their leather products, they have already undertaken the cost of their R & D, and have no reason to participate in their upstream research and development and bear their cost.

If we ask them to provide environmentally friendly products, they will naturally have to bear higher prices.

As long as the products they produce can meet our requirements, we will naturally pay the corresponding price.

In this regard, Wang Xuechuan said that if the idea of chemicals manufacturers can be realized, for most SMEs in Jinjiang, it must be a gospel.

Wang Xuechuan said, in fact, the "waste liquid recycling" has been studied nationwide for more than 10 years.

The reason why it has not been utilized is because of the cost.

Even if it has been developed, it will take a long time to believe that the high price should be accepted downstream.

"The pressure of small businesses doing environmental protection alone is very great.

If several leading enterprises can reach a consensus to stir up this burden, I believe that the environmental costs of the whole industry will drop a lot.

Zhang Zongcai, deputy director of the Department of biomass and leather engineering, School of textiles and food, Sichuan University, also admitted that this idea is very good.

But it is not enough for a few companies to do so, because it has to face the whole industry.
