Taiwan Textile Development Conference Celebrates 36Th Anniversary Celebration

The vice president said that in response to international changes, Taiwan textile industry has worked very hard and has made a good pformation in recent years. Shi Yanxiang also believes that 36th anniversary is 6 times 6, symbolizing 66 great Shun; the Taiwan textile industry created a total of 8 billion 400 million US dollars last year; the textile industry in the future is heading for three major directions of ready-made clothes, household and industry, of which the proportion of industrial textiles is more to have more added value, and the total output value will reach NT $600 billion in the future in 2020.

Shi Yanxiang said that the signing of the free trade agreement (FTA) between the United States and South Korea, Taiwan textile industry in addition to continuing to negotiate with the mainland ECFA follow-up open projects, and actively join the regional economic organization, so the textile industry is not the sunset industry, only to see whether they are hard enough.
