The London Olympic Organizing Committee revealed that the awards and costumes were from a student design team at Royal College of Art in London. It took them 8 months to complete the design. The College Fashion dress Project director Dag Voci said: "it is great that Royal College of Art students can participate in the 2012 Olympic Games. For these very talented young designers, the Olympic Games are an opportunity not to happen again in their lifetime, but also an excellent opportunity to show the world the design education in the UK.

During the London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, 805 awards will be held in more than 30 venues, involving about 4400 athletes.

Sebastian C, chairman of the London Organizing Committee, said the two designs were delivered to students, which fully embodies the slogan of the London Olympic Games: the spirit of "motivating one generation".
