Louis Weedon, creative director before show
Marc Jacobs
Interviewed.
Q: you have cooperation with many artists, will you continue to work with artists in the future?
A: of course, our latest cooperation partner is the Japanese genius design, weeds, and her works are full of creative ideas, that is, last week, a series of cooperative products have just been put on sale.
I will continue to work with artists in the future, and now I do not know who the next partner will be, but we will work with more artists.
Q: have you ever been tired in this fast changing fashion circle? What are your secrets of staying energetic?
A: for me, I wasn't always energetic in the 15 years of LV. Of course, I was very excited and energetic when I was inspired by creativity.
But what I want to say is that no road is flat, especially in fashion circles. The process of creativity is constantly fluctuating, and everyone will experience climax and depression.
Q: if you can use one word to describe this great show, what word will you choose?
A: only one word, then I think it should be.
gorgeous
(magnificent)! Indeed, the whole series is gorgeous, and the whole show is magnificent, like a dream come true.
It seems a word can not describe, I think the dream, journey, these words can also reflect the whole series of connotations.
This really baffled me, and I could think of countless words to describe this attempt.
Q: it has been 15 years since you joined LV. During this period, you have brought us all kinds of surprises, and you have brought the changing personal style into the brand design, bringing LV into a new era.
In the past 15 years, what have you always adhered to?
A: from the beginning, I and the whole LV team always believe in team spirit and always uphold the soul of LV brand.
We insist on giving customers quality and luxury enjoyment, and as a designer, I am willing to accept challenges, whether in terms of creativity or technology.
I always insist on pleasing customers so that they can think, dream and yearn through my design.
I think these are the ideas that LV and I have been insisting on for 15 years.
Q: now more and more young people want to be fashion designers. Which way do you think is more suitable for personal development, to establish their own brand, or to design for famous big companies?
A: young people have all kinds of dreams. When artists, artists, designers, of course, people pursue their dreams in their life is good, but in pursuit of dreams, they need persistence, passion, courage and ambition.
I have been in the fashion circle for 28 years. My career is full of ups and downs. It is only in the past 15 years (LV) that I became a household name designer.
I have been miscellaneous and bitter, but I have never thought of giving up. I never had any backup plans. I just wanted to be a fashion designer. I would like to go through many setbacks in order to realize this dream.
For those young people who want to be designers, I just want to tell them, believe in yourself, trust your instincts, and never give up.
Q: do you think this big show in Shanghai is another peak of your career?
A: this trip to Shanghai is wonderful. This is my first visit to Shanghai. I love this city.
I always look at a new city with a romantic eye. What I see is not a real face of a city, but more of the side that I want to focus on.
So I came to Shanghai three days ago, and the whole city was ablaze with lights. The decoration we saw at the hotel was also very beautiful.
I like classical Chinese decorations, and I like the feeling of blending classical and modern.
Here I see the post-modern architecture, decorate the city's gorgeous neon lights, and see the traditional Chinese wind decoration.
This feeling is fantastic. It's like being in a dream.
Q: so will you often come to Shanghai in the future?
A: I can't say for sure. My journey always goes with work, but next time I want to go to Beijing.
Maybe in October, it may not be possible, but I will strive for it.
