Reporter: how do you think of developing such a database?

Kingdom and: in the design of home textile bed, design informatization is lagging behind, which can not meet the needs of today's rapid development of home textile design.

We looked at the status of home textile enterprises in the information design of bedding design with questions, and investigated some textile enterprises and markets in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and other places. We found that when designing information about bedding style, processing technology and subject matter, designers were worried that there was no systematic home textile bed design database, and even could not find suitable information and information, and delayed the design period.

In view of this situation, in March 2007, we began to develop a database which is practical and suitable for home textile enterprise bedding design.

The whole research and development process was completed in May 2010, which took 4 years.

This database pays attention to the basic research of home textile bed design, adopts the classification method combining science and practice, induces and collate the bed style, bed processing technology and bed pattern design theme, sets up bedside database application platform by using Visual Basic programming tool, and carries out related theoretical research, which provides technical support for home textile bed design.

Reporter: what are the difficulties encountered in the process of conquering this technology?

Kingdom and: we encountered three difficulties, namely, the difficulty of data classification, the difficulty of data acquisition and the compatibility of data modules and multiple query methods.

Reporter: when will this technology be applied to the home textile industry?

Kingdom and: in 2009, the software was applied in home textile enterprises, such as Nantong Cole textile and apparel Co., Ltd., Nantong Keyuan Textile Co., Ltd. and Nantong Yongxiang dyed fabric Co., Ltd., all of which praised the product and recognized the technical support role of home textile database in the research and development of home textile products.

The "home textile bed design database" solves the problems of classification, induction, sorting and inquiry application of digital technology in home textile bed design, which is the first creation in the domestic textile industry, and can play a guiding role, and the achievement level reaches the leading level in China.

Based on the principle of computer programming, it created a home textile bed style module in a comprehensive and reasonable way, created a home textile bed processing technology module, and created a home textile bed pattern theme module. The designer can call the bedding information at any time, screen the materials in the home textile bed design database, and output the practical data in a systematic, orderly and standardized cataloguing way.

In addition, the bed data is stored in the computer by type, and the data is paperless, so that the query of bed data is more convenient.

For example, if you want to query the information and data of a pillowcase's structure and size, you can get complete information and data as soon as you input the keyword mouse, so as to improve the speed of the enterprise's understanding of bed material information, and lay a foundation for the Development Department of the enterprise's design department to develop new products and business decisions.
