Sports Science Laboratory Of Sports Shoes Enterprises
With the development of China's sports industry, more and more domestic enterprises are preparing for the development of domestic sports biomechanics. From the perspective of top foreign brands, whether an enterprise has its own biomechanical laboratory or not, its research and development is based on and ultimately controlled by biomechanics. The establishment of R & D, laboratory security and the establishment of an objective evaluation mechanism of talents will start. As early as the 1980s, Nike and Adidas have established their own sports science laboratories, and started the systematic biomechanical research and development test and control. The company and Li Anta have the earlier concept of Science in China. In 2006, however, they took the lead in introducing their own sports laboratory to test their own sports system in 2006. Although other sports shoe enterprises in Jinjiang are also considering establishing their own sports laboratory, on the whole, people's understanding of the shoe sports test system and the reasonable combination of it with the existing R & D process are still vague, because this professional field is indeed a strange field for Chinese people. Because the past and present development mode of Chinese sports shoes is different from that of foreign countries, it needs a revolutionary process to use biomechanics laboratory to promote the improvement of professional and functional research and development level. What is a sports science laboratory? In the R & D chain of foreign shoe enterprises, sports science laboratory mainly plays the role of testing, evaluating and controlling research and development samples, and will also participate in the production of new functional concepts and the design of technical marketing programs. The laboratory uses a variety of equipment (mainly biomechanics) to carry on the systematic movement test analysis to the athlete, to evaluate and compare the performance of the shoes they use. At present, the most basic part of the biomechanical testing system of top brands is the flat plantar pressure distribution test system, which is the most practical, fastest feedback and the closest combination with product development and application in sports science laboratory. Secondly, the force measuring platform, the pressure distribution test system and the image analysis system are used. The origin of the research and development of plantar pressure test and analysis system also has its own history: in the 1980s, the president of RS, jempi, served as the technical consultant of Adidas. Later, jempi and Adidas studied the sports of tens of thousands of people on various continents around the world, and developed running shoes with different functions for different groups of people. So Adidas began to test runners with plantar pressure distribution devices and recommend running shoes for them. At first, jempi and Adidas used the American system, but due to the intensity of running tests and other reasons, the equipment was scrapped after a few weeks. After that, jempi used IE technology from Belgium to help Adidas develop the classic footscan plantar pressure distribution test system, and gradually began to use it in the biomechanical research and development laboratory. Nowadays, many systems have been used in adidas for more than ten years and are still in service. Footscan system has also become the trademark brand of RSscan and Adidas. The research and development of footscan has never been closely related to the use of footscan in the lab (since it was also used in footscan). Now, plantar pressure distribution system has become an indispensable basic system for many top brands in the core technology research and development, professional shoe research and development, and technical marketing. Several of the world's leading testing laboratories are used to test the pressure distribution of the soles all year round. Adidas began to use the plantar pressure system with four sensors per square centimeter with sampling frequency up to 300Hz in the initial stage. Although the sampling frequency of footscan system has reached 1000Hz (the higher the sampling frequency, the more accurate the motion details can be recorded), but now jempi only sets the sampling frequency of the system at 500Hz, Most of the shoes have been developed and used to 500Hz. The force distribution on the sole of the shoe can be measured with more details of the force distribution on the sole of the shoe. High end brand laboratories are usually equipped with two types of dynamometers: one is more sensitive to instantaneous impact, the other is more sensitive to gait and continuous movement. The pressure distribution system in shoes is generally used in the design and comfort evaluation of various brands of shoes. Due to the particularity of the foot size and the relative relationship between the nail size and foot size, 300 ~ 400 sensors are generally placed in each shoe for testing, and 500Hz sampling is used for recording. The image analysis system is also a traditional instrument for shoe development. By analyzing the movement characteristics of shoes and limbs, the laboratory judges and analyzes the functional differences of different shoes and the influence on human sports effect. Simple image analysis system is usually used for quick feedback and reference to designers, while complex system is generally used for basic research and marketing promotion. In addition, a variety of basic mechanical tests can be used to assist the evaluation of biomechanics. In the process of R & D, where is the sports laboratory placed? Foreign brands usually carry out mechanical test and biomechanical test in the sample shoe completion or functional design stage. The purpose of biomechanical test is to evaluate the rationality of the design and provide the basis for improving the design. Therefore, if the biomechanical test is placed after mass production or after the confirmation of sample shoes, it will not make any sense. At present, Chinese enterprises are still unable to apply biomechanical testing to basic research, technical marketing, core technology design and so on. Due to the lack of functional professional design experience, the current functions of biomechanical laboratory should focus on the evaluation of the anti injury performance and comfort performance of the sample shoes. Biomechanics laboratory is not far away from the sports shoes enterprises in China, but the real R & D management and professional personnel training need the concerted efforts of all parties. I hope to see a real modern biomechanics laboratory, scientific R & D process and R & D test elite team in China one day!
