China Firmly Establishes The Status Of World Leather Power

In July 21st, the China Leather Association held the 20th Anniversary Symposium in Beijing, summarizing the great achievements made by China Leather Industry in the past 30 years of reform and opening up and the development course of China Leather Association in the past 20 years.

On behalf of the China Light Industry Federation, Chen Shineng warmly congratulated the Chinese Leather Association on its 20th anniversary birthday and wrote an inscription: "pioneering and innovating and creating brilliant achievements again".

In the past 30 years of reform and opening up, China's leather industry has achieved leaping development, facilitated the development of productive forces, achieved two first in terms of output and trade volume, firmly established the status of the world's leather power, and made great achievements: in the past 30 years, output value has increased by 157 times, profits and taxes have increased 85 times, and foreign exchange earning has increased 175 times. In the 663 famous Chinese products of light industry, there are 47 leather industries, accounting for 7.08%% of light industry. In the 96 characteristic areas of light industry, leather industry has 9, accounting for 9.37%% of total light industry.

In the past 20 years since the establishment of the China Leather Association, we have focused on self building, guiding industry and service industries. We have made important contributions to the development of the industry, scientific and technological progress, market cultivation and international cooperation with the aim of "bridge, link, service and self-discipline".

Summing up the development of China Leather Association in the past 20 years, President Chen believes that there are four lessons to learn from: first, take the lead in cultivating and standardizing the characteristic areas and promoting the development of industrial clusters; two, the implementation of brand strategy, the introduction of leather signs and leather signs; the three is the development of MICE economy; the development of China International Leather Exhibition, the China International Footwear Exhibition, the China International leather goods and apparel show to the market, specialization, internationalization and scale; four, the focus on the development of circular economy, the introduction of leather industry energy conservation and emission reduction, environmental protection Innovation Award, and so on, playing a good leading role in the light industry.

China's leather industry has achieved the goal of changing from big country to powerful country.
