China EU Trade Will Become More Frequent Along The New Silk Road
"The new Silk Road connects China and Europe!" According to German reports, a fully loaded freight train set out from Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China, for the first time to Hamburg, Germany. The operation of this train also opens a "faster trade road" for China and Europe.
It is reported that the Sino German train left Zhengzhou Container Freight Central Station on the morning of the 18th. In addition to the locomotive, there are 41 carriages. The "Made in China" transported by this train totaled more than 600 tons, including auto parts, industrial silk, high-grade shoes cap clothing , high-grade cotton textiles and other goods. These goods come from Henan, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi and other provinces. The total value is 14.3 million yuan.
The train will pass through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Poland, and finally reach Hamburg, the largest port city in Germany, with a total distance of 10214 km. It is estimated that the whole journey will take 16 to 18 days, which will save 15 to 20 days compared with sea transportation and nearly 80% of transportation costs compared with air transportation.
Compared with road transportation, Sino German trains also save time and money. It is reported that the second Sino German train will be opened in August. Some analysts believe that the operation of the first train is intended to explore the way. Many enterprises used to export by sea, and more customers will choose railway transportation in the future. The opening of Sino German trains has opened the "third door" for the Central Plains region, which is conducive to the products in this region going to Europe.
Hamburg, Germany, a city famous for its port industry, is also known as the "fortress of Han people". One third of Hamburg's cargo comes from China. Now, with the opening of Sino German trains, Hamburg's position as a "Made in China" European transit station is more secure. Germany commented that on the ancient Silk Road, the East and the West exchanged spices, silk, gold, gems and other goods. The "new Silk Road" will transport "Made in China" and European high-tech products, and China EU trade will become more frequent.
