The French Government Will Compensate Adidas'S Former Shareholders 285 Million Euros.
The French government announced on the 28 day that it would compensate Bernard, the former major shareholder of Adidas sporting goods company and former French Minister of the city of France, for 285 million euros, ending the dispute over the sale of Adidas shares by the tower.
The French government accepted the court decision and the decision was made in July 11th by an arbitral tribunal composed of 3 judges. The judges found that when selling Adidas from 1993 to 1994, he was leveraged by the Bank of credit fraud for sale.
Credit Lyon was state-owned.
The bank is now privatized.
After the decision is made, the French government can choose to accept it or to appeal.
France's Ministry of economy, finance and employment said in a statement 28 days ago that it would accept the amount of compensation.
The statement said: "we believe that it is not in the interest of the state to continue appeals."
At the top of the tower, he could take 40 million tons of leather to welcome the decision. He said the government's decision was "very happy".
The lawyer of pagoda said that after deducting the tax and interest and so on, he might have only 20 million ~4000 euros.
He has declared bankruptcy, and he owes taxes and fees up to 200 million euros.
He has been prosecuted many times and convicted of imprisonment.
The 65 year old, born in Marseilles, was born to save the bankrupt business.
He was the chairman of Marseilles Olympic football club and served as the city minister and member of the national assembly of the French government.
In 1989, he bought 78% of Adidas's shares in distress, but in 1992, he decided to sell Adidas because he could not pay interest on loans.
Credit Lyon has sold its shares in Adidas to about 2 billion 850 million francs (about 430 million euros) to sell to a number of investment groups.
The deal was inconsistent with the usual practice of French banking and was criticized at that time.
Some people believe that the state-owned credit Lyon bank is helping the city's minister at the time.
But in the following year, they also sold Adidas to Robert Louis Dyfels, a major trader in France and Switzerland, through Lyon credit bank, with a paction value of 4 billion 480 million francs (about 683 million euros).
Tower claims that Lyon credit bank knew from the beginning that Louis Dyfels wanted to buy Adidas.
He thought he had been fraudulent and brought the bank to court.
The lawsuit lasted for 14 years, and the war between the government and the French government took about 14 years.
A lower court ruled in 2005 that the French government paid him 135 million euros, but the ruling was reversed again the following year.
After appeals, TAPPI finally won this year.
Tapin bribed to the Valentine's team in the French Football League A, and interfered with the testimony of the witness. He was sentenced to 1 years' imprisonment in 1995. After he was released from prison, he was involved in the entertainment circle. He acted in films, took part in record recording, and acted as a TV presenter.
The opposition criticized the government for deciding that he supported Nicola Sarkozy in 2007.
After the French government said it would not appeal for compensation, the opposition Socialist Party and Francois Baillieu, who had competed with Sarkozy for the presidency, criticized the government's decision.
He even claimed that he had been "protected" by the French government.
