Study On Mildew Proof Effect Of Mould Inhibitor ATE9260 On Leather
Leatherwear The mould resistance has always been one of the most important quality indicators of leather products. In particular, in recent years, China's exports of wet blue leather are increasing. Under the condition of high temperature and high humidity in the shipping process, leather rich in protein and lipids is prone to mildew, which has a great impact on the quality, appearance and price of leather, [1 - 2]. In order to prevent moldy leather and leather products, the usual method is to use mildew inhibitor in tannery dyeing and Fatliquoring Process, and also to use [3 - 6] in the process of finishing.
With the increasing demand for green environmental protection, the development of new, green, non-toxic, efficient and long-acting mildew preventive agents is the inevitable direction for the development of fungicide. At present, most of leather mould inhibitors are heterocyclic compounds, and their heterocyclic compounds have low toxicity, broad sterilization spectrum and good anti mould effect, [2]. Isothiazolinone is one of the fungicides with high cost performance. [7], which can be mixed with water, can be applied in the range of pH 5.5 to 9.5. The toxicity is low. LD50 is 3942. 61mg /kg[8]. It has good killing and inhibiting effect on mould. Therefore, isothiazolone is an important direction for the development of new green mould inhibitor. ATE9260 is a new type of mildew inhibitor with isothiazolone as the main ingredient. This paper studies the mildew proof effect of the mould inhibitor on wet blue leather and dyed fatliquoring leather, and compares it with the commonly used leather mould inhibitor BUSAN 112. It proves that ATE9260 has the same mildew proof effect and is suitable for mould proofing of leather.
1. Test part
1.1 test reagents and instruments
(1) main instruments for testing
GSD type heat pump cycle stainless steel temperature control colorimetric test drum, GSD400 - 4, xindinda Light Industrial Machinery Co., Ltd.
GI type heat pump cycle stainless steel temperature control test drum, 1 000mm * 500mm, city light industrial machinery factory.
(2) the main test reagents are shown in Table 1.
Compound fatliquoring formula: 1% lanolin SL fatliquoring agent, 2% FATEMATE LE, 2.5% FATEMATE WHI, 2.5% FATEMATEXHW, 2.5% FATEMATE Chromol- A, 2. 5%FATEMATE FL 47.
1.2 BUSAN 112 comparative test
Wet blue leather: take the sample made from the lab made wet blue leather (6. 2cm * 4. 0cm), add 0.01% fungicides with 0.01%, 0.02% and 0.03% skin weight, 2 skin samples at each concentration of ATE9260 and BUSAN112, and incubate 28d at the temperature of (28 + 3) C and 80% humidity, and observe the growth of fungi.
Fatliquoring leather: (1) wet blue leather, cut evenly, thickness of 1. 00mm. (2) backwater and degreasing. The liquid ratio is 2, adding 0.2% JFC, 0. 2%HCOOH, and rotating 2H. (3) neutralization. Add 1.5% NaHCO3 and 1% NaCOOH at a time, until the methyl red solution is used to detect a uniform yellow in the skin incision. (4) staining. Liquid ratio 2, add 2% black dye, turn 30min. (5) fatliquoring. Add compound fatliquoring agent and turn 90min. (6) fixing the fat and fixing the color. 1% HCOOH is added 3 times every 10min. (7) wash. Wash 30min with large liquid ratio. (8) mould proofing. Different dosage of mould inhibitor, such as 0.01%, 0.03% and 0.05%, were added respectively, ATE9260 mildew inhibitor and BUSAN 112 were turned to 30min at 2 concentrations of each concentration. (9) drum and horse. (10) shear (6. 2cm * 3. 9cm) size skin sample and placed in natural conditions (temperature 28 + 3), humidity 80%) 28d, regularly observe the mildew of the skin to determine the mildew proof effect of fungicide.

Each sample of each sample was immersed in a distilled water of about 300mL, and oscillated 3H in the oscillator at (25 + 3) centigrade. After removing the water, the attached water was removed with filter paper and placed in natural conditions (temperature 28 + 3) and humidity 80%) 28d. The mould proof effect of the mould was observed regularly.
Effect of 1.3 ATE9260 on mildew proof effect of different fatliquor leather
In accordance with the above 1.2 test methods, different fatliquoring agents were added to fat, and different dosage of ATE9260 fungicides were added to compare the mildew proof effect. In this paper, 0~4 levels are used to indicate the condition of mold resistance, and the corresponding growth of fungi is shown in Table 2.
2. Results and discussion
2.1 BUSAN 112 comparative test
In the contrast experiment with BUSAN 112, the samples of wet blue leather and leather samples added with compound fatliquoring agent were cultured under natural exposure ((28 + 2) C, (75 + 5)% RH) to cultivate 28d, and the growth of bacteria on skin samples was observed and recorded. The test results of different concentrations of BUSAN 112 for wet blue and fatliquoring leather are shown in Table 3. The results of mildew resistance test of different concentrations of ATE9260 on skin samples are shown in Table 4.
It can be seen from table 3 and table 4 that the mildew proof effect of ATE9260 on wet blue and fatliquoring leather is comparable to that of commercial mildew inhibitor BUSAN 112 at the same concentration, indicating that ATE9260 is an effective mildew inhibitor. As can be seen from table 4, the lowest mildew proof concentration of ATE9260 for wet blue leather is 0.02%, and the lowest mildew proof concentration for Fatliquoring leather is 0.03%. The 3H immersion test showed that the mildew proof effect of the mould inhibitor was not affected by immersion.
Test results of 2.2 ATE9260 for different fatliquoring fatliquors
In order to further study the mildew resistance of ATE9260, ATE9260 was used to prevent mildew in animal oil, vegetable oil and synthetic oil fatliquoring leather. Test results of different concentrations of ATE9260 mildew resistant animal oil, vegetable oil and synthetic oil fatliquoring leather samples were obtained at temperatures (28 + 2) and humidity (75 + 5)%, as shown in Table 5 - Table 7, 28d.
In Table 5 - 7, the blank samples of animal oil, synthetic oil and vegetable oil fatliquoring were mildew on the third day. 0. 01%ATE9260 compound fatliquoring agent, animal oil and synthetic oil fatliquoring leather were added. The mildew appeared on the fourth day, while the vegetable oil fatliquoring leather appeared mildew on the sixth day, indicating that the low concentration of ATE9260 had the antibacterial property to the fatliquoring leather, and the Bacteriostasis of the vegetable oil fatliquoring leather was the best. When the ATE9260 concentration was 0.03%, no mildew stains were observed in 28d. The results showed that when the concentration of ATE9260 was 0.03%, the mildew resistance of the fatliquoring leather was good.
3. Conclusion
ATE9260, a main Fungicide of isothiazolone, has a good mildew proof effect on wet blue leather, animal oil, vegetable oil, synthetic oil and compound fatliquoring fatliquoring leather. The mildew inhibitor has antibacterial property to leather at low concentration, and has bactericidal property at high concentration: the lowest concentration of fatliquoring leather is 0.03%, and only 0.02% in wet blue leather, which is almost the same as the commonly used mould inhibitor BUSAN112. Moreover, under the condition of long time immersion, it does not affect the mildew proof effect. It proves that it has high efficiency and good economy in industrial production.
The mould inhibitor can be applied to leather for short term mildew proofing and keep at least one month under high temperature and high humidity.
