Amazon: Poland Warehouse Opens Soon To Cover Western European Countries

The logistics center in Wroclaw, Poland (Wroclaw) has been completed and will be put into operation later this month.

The new development project, built by the real estate group Jiaming group, has become the largest single logistics center in Poland, and will meet Amazon's demand for expansion in Europe.

In recent reports, it was learned that Amazon Co had eight in Europe before.

They are all located in Germany.

Now, Amazon hopes to move the commodity circulation system from Germany to Poland and Czech.

Last year, five logistics centers were established in Poland and Czech.

Two of them are located near Wroclaw, one near Poznan, and the other two in Czech.

The area of each logistics center is estimated to be about 100 thousand square meters, with a construction cost of about 5000-6000 euro.

It is reported that Amazon Co's first logistics center in Poland will occupy an area of about 95 thousand square meters. It started construction in October 2013 and is expected to issue its first package in September 29th.

At present, two 95 thousand square meters of warehouse have been built in the first phase, and investment amounts to a record of foreign investment.

It is reported that the scope of parcel delivery will cover all Western European countries such as Germany, Britain and France.

The southern city of Wroclaw has been one of the five largest logistics centers in Poland, and the five logistics centers are mainly located in the western and southern parts of the city.

It is reported that the hottest logistics warehouse is located in Warsaw, capital of Poland, especially in Stryk W, Poznan and Silesia.

Silesia has attracted many automobile manufacturers and logistics operators, while Poznan and Wroclaw mainly serve western European markets.

There is almost no logistics warehousing support in eastern Poland, but strong retail expansion spawned demand for warehouses, so it is possible to create a new warehouse logistics center.

There is no large-scale development in the East, but in the next three years, with the continuous improvement of infrastructure, the current situation will be greatly improved.

The Amazon Co's new distribution center will be located in the suburb of Bielany Wroclawskie, Wroclaw, about five km from the city centre.

The location of the traffic is perfect, and it can travel through land (A8 and A4 expressways, and S8 and S5 expressways), railways (10 km away from Wroclaw central railway station) and aircraft (15 km away from Wroclaw Airport).

The Amazon distribution center will be the fifth development project of Jiaming company in Wroclaw.

Previous projects were built by Whirlpool, TJX Europe, Walki Group and Casetech, covering an area of more than 70 thousand square meters.
