The report points out that the government regulatory departments will take effective measures to strengthen the supervision of enterprises in implementing the main responsibility of product quality, and consumers should cautiously purchase products that are low in price and lack of quality assurance, so as to avoid unnecessary losses.

In terms of commissioned inspection, the Beijing Fiber Inspection Institute and the national textile and leather product quality inspection center are the only national quality inspection centers in China, which integrates textile and leather products. In 2013, the data of 63921 typical samples in the database were analyzed, and the pass rate reached 9. Among them, the top 3 of the sample items were color fastness, pH value and pilling, while color fastness accounted for 63%.

Last year, 12365 complaints and reports of Beijing Quality Supervision Bureau received 27 complaints of clothing and textiles, accounting for fifth of product complaints. The main problems were concentrated on seam strength, fiber content, counterfeit and shoddy and wear-resistant properties.

For imported garments, 842 batches of unqualified products were detected in the inspection of imported garments in 2013, with an unqualified rate of about 14.18%, of which 582 batches of substandard products involving labels and fiber components were involved, involving 251 batches of substandard products involving safety items.

The main quality problems of imported clothing in Beijing area are identification, internal quality (physical and chemical indicators) and fiber content content items. Among them, Turkey, Portugal, Bangladesh, India and other countries are among the top quality failures.

Many international luxury brands and first-line brands have a higher rate of disqualification, and the quality level of brands at the same level is also quite different. Their main unqualified items are basically identification, fiber content and color fastness.

Experts at the national textile and leather products quality inspection center pointed out that the main reason for the unqualified color fastness is that the dye is not qualified or not suitable for the fabric, and the dyeing process is not up to standard. It is suggested to control the quality of the dye from the source, improve the dyeing process and improve the dyeing quality.

The main reason for the unqualified pH value is that it is not adequately washed and neutralized during dyeing and finishing. It is recommended to strictly control the pH value of the printing and dyeing processes. The formaldehyde content is not qualified mainly because the textile finishing agents and auxiliaries can release formaldehyde, and the finishing process is not enough. It is suggested that the washing process be adequately treated, the processing level can be improved, and formaldehyde catches can be added at the same time.

It is reported that in 2013, the Beijing Quality Supervision Bureau, the commerce and Industry Bureau, the letter Committee and the Commerce Commission jointly launched the quality improvement of Beijing textile and garment products. The annual report on the quality of clothing and textile products is an important work in the first stage.
