The Exhibition Industry In Fuzhou Will Usher In A New Wave Of Development
Learned from the Municipal Bureau of Commerce and trade, "the Fuzhou Convention and exhibition industry development plan (2014-2025)" has been passed by the municipal government special conference. It is clear that Fuzhou will use 12 years to build the "Strait" characteristic southeastern Exhibition City, and become the first city of the famous brand exhibition city and the "Strait" brand exhibition of the maritime Silk Road Economic Belt in twenty-first Century.
Among them, our city strives to cultivate "5. 18" into an internationally famous "maritime Silk Road exposition in twenty-first Century" by 2025. By the end of 2025, Fuzhou has become a conference city with international influence on four sides of the Taiwan Straits and Southeast Asia.
Fuzhou Convention and exhibition first appeared in the 80s of last century, and has gone through 3 stages, such as primary natural stage, growth stage, and integrated development stage.
Data show that since 2010, there are about 10 large-scale national and professional exhibitions landing every year, and the exhibition scale is increasing year by year.
Among them, in 2013, the city held 86 exhibitions, 12 national exhibitions and 7 scale exhibitions, with an annual exhibition area of 890 thousand and 500 square meters, an increase of 20.6%. The exhibition industry has become an important force to promote the development of Fuzhou's Convention and exhibition economy.
In addition, in 2013, the city held 21 large meetings, which increased rapidly compared with previous years.
At present, the exhibition area of the above scale exhibition in Fuzhou is 506380 square meters, and the indoor exhibition area of the Strait International Convention and Exhibition Center is 80000 square meters and the total area of exhibition is 855000 square meters.
Although the conditions for exhibition are good, there is a big gap between the number of exhibition and the area of exhibition, compared with the first tier cities such as the north and Guangzhou, and even the second tier cities, such as Chengdu, Xi'an, Tianjin, Xiamen and Qingdao.

Branding
"Marketing and internationalization" is the strategic path to shape the brand of "Straits Convention and Exhibition". After 12 years of efforts, we have formed a number of regional "Straits" brand exhibitions featuring Fuzhou's regional characteristics and relying on local industries.
We will focus on building brand exhibitions and strive to cultivate "5. 18" into an internationally famous "maritime Silk Road Expo in twenty-first Century" by 2025. We will cultivate the Fujian China Commodity Fair, the "6 18" and the Straits (Fuzhou) fisheries exposition as an international exhibition. China (Fuzhou) home Building Materials Fair and China (Fuzhou) International Automobile Exposition will be cultivated as a national famous exhibition.
Focus on supporting the Straits (Fuzhou) hot spring tourism culture festival, China Strait (Fuzhou) root carving art fair, and China (Fuzhou) Shoushan Stone Festival, focusing on cultivating light textile.

Professional exhibition, cultural and creative professional exhibition, Fuzhou jasmine and tea culture festival and so on, and strive to cultivate more than 6 emerging regional brand exhibitions by the end of 2020. By the end of 2025, 12 new regional brand exhibitions will be supported and nurtured.
Our city will also focus on expanding the reception of the conference, focusing on cultivating all kinds of Straits forum, seminars and investment promotion related to key industries in Fuzhou. It encourages all universities to host or undertake high-level international or national academic conferences, and support the ordering meeting of large enterprises with the characteristics of economic and trade flow landing in Fuzhou, and strive to introduce famous annual tour conferences and annual meetings of national associations.
We will strive to form more than 3 by the end of 2020, and no less than 6 brand conferences or forums with international influence by the end of 2025.
