Anhui Cotton Harvesting Mechanization Industry Technology System Continues To Improve

　　 Anhui Province Although it is a major cotton producing province in China, there are many problems in cotton production, such as insufficient reserves of technological innovation, low integration, and a variety of cotton varieties. The provincial cotton industry technology team, led by Lin Yi, a leading expert and professor of Anhui Agriculture University, has made certain breakthroughs in cotton breeding, supporting technology research and demonstration, and mechanized harvesting of cotton.

The recovery efficiency is high, and the labor saving rate is over 60%. The cost saving, labor saving and efficiency increase are remarkable, laying a good foundation for realizing the fundamental spanformation of cotton production mode in Anhui province.

The industrial system of the cotton industry technology system has been continuously improved. The no till planter has been screened and improved, and cotton pickers and other machinery have been introduced. The collection and creation of germplasm resources for machine harvested cotton, selection and breeding of machine picked cotton varieties, population control technology of machine picked cotton, chemical topping agent and chemical defoliation ripener have been studied.
