The global textile and Apparel Supply Chain Conference (TASCC), founded in 2008, is an international exchange platform for China Textile Industry Federation to study textile and apparel supply chain management and brand development every year.

The previous sessions were held in Shanghai, Humen and Changshu respectively. This is the ninth session.

The conference is hosted by the China Textile Industry Federation and the Foshan Nanhai District People's government. The China Textile Information Center, the Xiqiao Town People's Government of Nanhai District and the Nanhai District Economic and Technological Promotion Bureau undertake the conference.

During the two day conference, nearly 700 guests from the world famous clothing brand and enterprise supply chain from the United States, Italy, France, Japan, South Korea and Vietnam, together with nearly 700 guests from China's major textile and garment industry clusters, investment management financial institutions, industrial economic research experts and fashion designers gathered to share the latest changes in the supply chain structure of their respective fields and find new discoveries in the process of intelligent manufacturing exploration, so as to promote global exchanges and cooperation among textile and garment counterparts and expand the international perspective of domestic enterprises.

In 2003, Xiqiao was awarded the title of "China's famous fabric town" by the China Textile Industry Association.

Today, Xiqiao is the first textile industry upgrading demonstration area in China. It is the second largest textile production and sales base after Zhejiang Shaoxing.

Playboy, woodpecker, YOUNGOR, red bean, Chinese fir, LEVI 'S and other domestic and foreign brand-name clothing enterprises have long locked the fabric source in Xiqiao.

At present, there are more than 800 textile and garment enterprises in Xiqiao Town, including more than 100 enterprises above Designated Size and more than 60 thousand employees. There are more than 30 thousand sets of textile equipment in the whole town, including 45% of high-grade equipment, with annual production capacity of 2 billion 600 million meters of all kinds of textile fabrics.

"There are specialized textile markets as well as circular economy industrial parks. Statistics show that in 2015, the annual output value of Xiqiao's textile industry increased by 21.9%.

Under the environment of economic downturn, the traditional textile industry in Xiqiao has gone against the trend.

"In the industrial cluster of the whole country, Xiqiao is doing well, relatively perfect, the enterprise develops healthfully, the operating rate is very high, the order is very full, the various economic indicators are very beautiful.

In the context of the general downturn in the industry, the textile industry in Xiqiao has achieved two digit growth, and we are very excited.

"Cloud manufacturing" that utilizes information technology to achieve high sharing of manufacturing resources will bring unprecedented opportunities and challenges to the supply chain ecosystem of textile and garment industry.

Qiao Yanjin, director of China Textile Information Center, said at the conference that personalized and customized consumption is replacing homogeneous and displacement consumption. The custom-made, socialized and intelligent mode of production is becoming a new trend in the textile and garment industry.

In Fu Guangwei's view, this development trend will definitely be achieved, and it will be very beneficial to Xiqiao's fabric industry cluster.

In the "cloud manufacturing" of textile and garment industry, consumers will be able to choose fabrics, buttons, zippers and design styles independently, and directly place orders on the Internet. Then, enterprises will produce products according to the requirements of consumers, and deliver products to consumers.

This mode of production not only saves the inventory and other links, but also changes the current situation that the public is always concerned about the clothing brand and ignores the fabric brand.

Xiqiao's denim fabrics, home textile bedding, shirt fabrics and jacquard products have become the "weathervane" leading the popularity of domestic fabrics. "Xiqiao fabric" is famous for its "new, fine and special" in the market, and has formed a certain scale and influence. In October 2014, it became a collective trademark of Xiqiao fabric.

At present, the town has more than 400 products finalists for "China's popular fabrics".

Compared with several other industrial clusters in China, the "Xiqiao fabric" has a higher quality and is in the middle and high end of the industry, so it has strong representativeness.

Now, a complete industrial service system of "platform + market + base" has been formed. The supporting of the industrial chain is very perfect, and the pace of industrial pformation and upgrading is also moving faster.

Xiqiao plans to build a New International Textile City

With the mode of "Internet + Exhibition" to help textile enterprises expand the market, the new international textile city will become the largest textile exhibition and trading market in Southern China.

Upgrading the industry and winning big market and big future

Just a month before the supply chain conference, Liang Yaoheng, the owner of de Yao textile, has just run to the United States. He has opened his design studio to Losangeles.
