The General Administration Of Customs Responded Slightly To Foreign Trade In The Two Quarter.

Today, the Information Office of the State Council held a press conference on the import and export situation in the first half of 2016, and asked the spokesman of the General Administration of customs, Huang Song Ping, to introduce the import and export situation in the first half of 2016, and answered the reporters' questions.

Reporter: how do you comment on the overall performance of China's import and export trade in the first half of this year? Second questions, what is the reason for the rebound in import and export in the two quarter?

Huang Songping: Thank you for asking.

Since the beginning of this year, the global economic recovery has been sluggish and Global trade has been shrinking. China's import and export of goods trade still faces a relatively low international environment.

In the first quarter, import and export value declined in the two quarter.

The value and export value showed a positive growth, and the import value narrowed.

As for the reasons for a slight rebound in our foreign trade in the second quarter, we think there are several main factors.

First, domestic

The policy environment in the field has been constantly optimized.

China's economic growth this year will continue to operate at a reasonable interval of 6.5%-7%, which is conducive to the steady growth of foreign trade and structural adjustment.

In recent years, the State Council and relevant departments have also issued a number of policy documents which are closely related to the development of foreign trade, and these policies and measures have been put into place step by step.

At the same time, this year, the state pays more attention to the innovation and development of foreign trade, encourages business model innovation, constantly promotes trade facilitation, and implements more active import policies.

Now it seems that all these have created a favorable policy environment for China's foreign trade and effectively promoted the development of foreign trade.

Second, multilateral and bilateral economic and trade cooperation continues to expand.

For example, the "one belt and one way" initiative has been actively responded by various countries along the way. It has created an important platform for China to connect with other countries in the world, develop international capacity cooperation and share development dividends.

I have just announced the export situation of some countries along the "one belt and one road" area in the first half of this year.

In bilateral bilateral trade agreements, last year, China signed and implemented bilateral FTA agreements with South Korea and Australia. Since then, 22 countries or regions involving Asia, Latin America, Oceania and Europe have signed and implemented FTA with me.

In the first half of this year, the import and export of the above-mentioned countries or regions decreased by 2.1%, exports decreased by 1.1% and imports decreased by 2.9%, which is better than the overall decline in import and export in the same period.

Third, commodity prices narrowed year-on-year decline.

In the first half of this year, global commodity prices rebounded. Under this background, the import prices of China's major commodities were narrowed as imports increased.

For example, in the first half of this year, the average import price of iron ore decreased by 23.3 percentage points compared with the same period last year, the crude oil narrowed by 13.4 percentage points, coal narrowed by 1.7 percentage points, and copper narrowed by 1.7 percentage points.

Although import prices are still a major factor that has led to a decline in the import value of our country, the decline in import prices has narrowed the decline in import value.

Fourth, recent global trade is showing signs of recovery.

The Baltic dry bulk index, which measures the trend of Global trade, began to rebound after hitting a historical low of 290 in early February this year. As of June 30th, it has recovered to 660, and Global trade is showing signs of warming. It has certain support for the import and export of China's goods trade in the two quarter.
