    The United States trade representative's office is appealed to the Alibaba and its Taobao platform to be listed on the "notorious market" list.

    AAFA wrote to the US trade representative's office that Alibaba failed to meet the requirements of the former and put an end to fake products on its platform.

    The letter also referred to a part of the Research Report of SAIC, which shows that up to 67% of the products on Taobao platform are counterfeit.

    Lee Sporn, a longtime legal adviser to the US luxury brand Michael Kors, said in an earlier letter to the international anti-counterfeiting alliance that Alibaba is the most dangerous existence in the fashion industry. Alibaba's strategy is limited to verbal support for brand law enforcement, but the problem of counterfeit goods on its trading platform has not been solved practically.

    Michael Kors, Gucci and Tiffany&Co announced their withdrawal from the international anti-counterfeiting alliance in order to express their boycott of Alibaba's participation in the international anti-counterfeiting alliance.
