    Tian Gong Da Yang Kun Research Group: Knitting Technology Of 3D Warp Knitted Products

    Recently, Dr. Yang Kun research group of the textile science and Engineering College of Tianjin University of Technology has successfully developed a technical method for producing three-dimensional structure products on warp knitting machines after years of exploration.

    By controlling the movement of the needle and guide needle on the warp knitting machine, the technology can change the coil shape and the movement rule of the yarn so as to form a three-dimensional structure effect on the fabric surface.

    By using this technology, the convex area, raised height, raised contour and its distribution in fabric plane can be realized by process design, which can enrich the warpage knitted fabric and product modeling, and can be used in warp knitted fabrics and shoe clothing forming products.

    According to Dr. Yang Kun, the head of the research group, the technology breaks the limitation of the original warp knitted products that can only be flaky (including spacer, plush, etc.) or cylindrical (including bifurcated cylinder), and realizes three-dimensional weaving of warp knitted products, which can further enrich the development and application of warp knitted products, and promote the technological innovation and structural upgrading of the industry.
