The results showed that there were 131 cases of children's clothes to be sold which were suspected to be inconsistent with the relevant technical requirements, and the value of the products was about 180 thousand yuan.

It is understood that, according to the clues, a few days ago, the Shanghai municipal market supervision and Administration Bureau law enforcement officers in conjunction with the Shanghai quality supervision and Inspection Technology Research Institute, according to law, to carry out law enforcement inspection of children's clothing sold in a shopping center in Shanghai.

Law enforcement officials examined 40 children's clothes, such as girls' princess skirt and girl's dress, which were sold by two children's clothing brand stores in the shopping center, and carried out a preliminary inspection of the children's clothes by the technical personnel of the Shanghai quality inspection institute through the inspection equipment, and found that 19 of them had the technical requirements of the back, the waist rope and the accessories tip and edge sharpness, which were not in conformity with the GB 31701-2015 "safety technical specification for infants and children's textile products", involving 131 children's clothes to be sold and the value of the value of about 180 thousand yuan.

The law enforcement officers asked the shops to immediately drop off the 131 children's clothing products suspected of having quality problems. The children's clothing products were sent to the statutory inspection institutions for inspection at random, and the children's clothing production and sales enterprises were further investigated and dealt with according to the test results.

The enterprises involved in other provinces and cities will inform the market supervision department of the location of the enterprise where the test results and related illegal situations are located.

Children's products have always been the focus of supervision by the market supervision department. Since the implementation of the GB 31701-2015 "Safety Specification for infants and children textile products" in 2016, the Shanghai municipal market supervision and Administration Bureau has carried out a special enforcement action for children's clothing for 3 years in a row, and has conducted more than 80 children's clothing enterprises' law enforcement checks. Up to now, 25 cases have been investigated and dealt with, and the value of goods involved has been more than 130 yuan, and the amount of confiscation has been more than 230 yuan, and more than 2000 pieces of children's clothing have been confiscated and destroyed.

Next, the law enforcement officers will continue to strengthen the special inspection of children's clothing, and find a family of children's clothing production and marketing enterprises suspected of breaking the law, investigate and punish one family according to law, earnestly safeguard the good order of children's clothing market, and care for children's safety and health.

Law enforcement officers suggest that when consumers choose children's clothing, they should first read the clothing labels carefully to see whether there are 7 aspects, including manufacturer's name and address, product name, product size and specification, raw material composition and content, maintenance methods and safety classification.

Secondly, we should select soft, breathable and hygroscopic cotton fabrics for children. If we choose nylon, polyester, composite coating and other clothing, we should give priority to loose clothing, ensure comfortable clothing, and not buy clothes with pungent odor, mildew smell and even larger scent.
