Jiangxi'S Foreign Trade Fell Somewhat In The First Quarter, And Exports To The EU Increased By 12.3%.
Jiangxi Bureau of Statistics announced on the afternoon of 18, the first quarter, the province's total import and export value of 74 billion 320 million yuan (the same below), down 5.4% compared with the same period last year, exports to the EU 8 billion 920 million yuan, an increase of 12.3%.
Data released by Jiangxi Statistical Bureau 18 showed that in the first quarter, the total import and export value of the province was 74 billion 320 million yuan, down 5.4% from the same period last year.
Among them, the export value was 53 billion 130 million yuan, a decrease of 9.4%, and the import value was 21 billion 190 million yuan, an increase of 6.3%.
From the perspective of trade, general trade exports 45 billion 520 million yuan, down 13.8%; processing trade exports 7 billion 350 million yuan, an increase of 51.8%.
From the product point of view, the export of mechanical and electrical products was 22 billion 930 million yuan, down by 5.2%, and the export of high-tech products was 10 billion 50 million yuan, an increase of 29.9%.
Cao Qingyun, deputy director of the Jiangxi Provincial Bureau of statistics, said that from the national perspective, exports to ASEAN were 11 billion 240 million yuan, an increase of 4.1%; exports to the European Union were 8 billion 920 million yuan, an increase of 12.3%; exports to the United States were 6 billion 910 million yuan, down 26.6%.
Why did Jiangxi's foreign trade fall back in the first quarter?
Zhang Jie, director of the trade and economic administration of Jiangxi Statistical Bureau, thinks that there are three reasons for the decline in general trade exports, the decline in exports of electromechanical products and major traditional commodities, and the decline in exports to some of the trading partners.
According to local official statistics, from the main traditional commodities, exports of bags and similar containers in Jiangxi dropped by 23.9% in the first quarter, exports of plastic products decreased by 19.5%, footwear exports dropped by 15.6%, textile yarn, fabrics and products exports decreased by 15%, and clothing and accessories exports dropped by 7.9%.
Cao Qingyun said that on the whole, Jiangxi's economic structure was further optimized in the first quarter, and its quality and efficiency were further enhanced.
"At the same time, we should also see that the development environment at home and abroad is still complicated, and that the deep-seated structural contradictions need to be resolved for a long time, and the development of the real economy faces many difficulties."
