Zhou Dafu: Mainland Retail Sales Grew 24% In The First Quarter.
Zhou Dafu announced the end of June this year, the first quarter of the operating data. In the 3 months ended June 30, 2019, Zhou Dafu's retail sales in mainland China increased by 24% compared with the same period last year, while the same store sales increased by 11%, while the same store sales decreased by 3%. The retail value in China's Hongkong and Macao decreased by 6%, while that in the same store decreased by 11%, while that in the same store decreased by 14%.
The same store sales in mainland China maintained growth momentum and gained 11% in the quarter. However, China's Hongkong and Macao markets are affected by the high base number and the uncertain macroeconomic environment, which makes the consumption atmosphere prudent, leading to a decline in same store sales.
The retail value of e-commerce business in mainland China increased by 11% in the first quarter and 6% in volume. In China's Hongkong and Macao markets, the retail value paid by China UnionPay, Alipay, WeChat or RMB accounts for 44% of the total retail value of the Hongkong and Macao markets (representing the sales contribution of mainland tourists) in the quarter to 48% in the previous quarter and the same period last year.
In mainland China, the Zhou Dafu group opened 115 retail outlets in the first quarter of the year, including a net opening of 113 Zhou Dafu jewelry retail outlets (18 of which are direct stores and 95 franchisees), 3 MONOLOGUE retail outlets, 3 SOINLOVE retail outlets, and 3 3 Zhou Dafu watch retail outlets and 1 HEARTSONFIRE retail outlets.
In Hongkong, Macao and other markets, Zhou Dafu group opened 3 Zhou Dafu jewelry retail outlets in Singapore, South Korea and Philippines in the first quarter of the year, and closed 4 HEARTSONFIRE retail outlets in Taiwan, China. In June 30, 2019, the group had 3248 retail outlets.
