Influenced By "Double 11", The Retail Sales Of Social Consumer Goods Increased By 7.2% Over The Same Period In October.
Recently, the report on the operation of the consumer goods market in 1-10 2019 was released. The report shows that the total retail sales of consumer goods in China reached 334778 billion yuan in 1-10 months, a cumulative increase of 8.1%, and the growth rate slowed down 0.1% compared with that in 1-9 months.
Among them, under the "double eleven" short-term factors, the growth rate was 7.2% in October, and the growth rate slowed down 0.6% from last month. After deducting the retail sales of auto products, the total retail sales of consumer goods increased by 9% in 1-10 months, and the growth rate slowed down 0.1% compared with that in 1-9 months.
Online retail sales of physical commodities accounted for the same proportion in the consumer goods market as those in the first three quarters. In 1-10, online retail sales of physical commodities reached 65172 billion yuan, a cumulative increase of 19.8%, a slower growth rate of 0.7% over the 1-9 months, a 42.9% contribution to the growth of total retail sales of social consumer goods, a 3.5% increase in total retail sales of social consumer goods, and a 19.5% share of total retail sales of consumer goods, unchanged from the month of 1-9.
In October, online retail sales of physical commodities reached 739 billion 500 million yuan, an increase of 14.6% over the same period last year, the growth rate slowed down 3.8% from last month, the contribution rate to the total retail sales of consumer goods was 36.8%, and the total retail sales of social consumer goods increased by 2.7%, accounting for 19.4% of the total retail sales of social consumer goods.
Physical store consumption continued to grow steadily. It is estimated that retail sales of consumer goods in physical stores increased by 5.6% in 1-10 months, and the growth rate was flat compared with that in 1-9 months. Among them, the growth rate in October was 5.6% over the same period last year, and the growth rate was 0.2% faster than last month.
The retail sales of 100 major large-scale retail enterprises (mainly department stores) were basically the same as those of the same period. According to the report, the number of retail sales of major retail enterprises in China dropped by 0.3% over the same period of 1-10, and the growth rate dropped by 0.3% compared with that in 1-9 months. Compared with 1-9 months, the growth rate of retail sales of Cereals, Oils and foodstuffs was accelerated, and the daily consumption category was flat.
Consumer price inflation increased. Consumer prices rose by 2.6% in 1-10, an increase of 0.5% over the same period last year. Consumer goods prices rose 3%, or 1.1% over the same period, while service prices rose 1.8%, or up by a year earlier than the same period last year. Consumer prices rose 3.8% in October, up 0.8% from the previous month.
