Shandong'S First Sericulture Industry Technology Research Institute Settled In Zibo Gaoqing

On the morning of June 12th, the Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences (Gaoqing) sericultural industry technology research institute was set up. This is the first Sericulture Industry Technology Research Institute established in Shandong Province, which is conducive to promoting the revitalization of the sericulture industry in Gaoqing County and speeding up the R & D, transformation and application of scientific research achievements.

At the ceremony, the Shandong sericulture Research Institute, Gaoqing County People's government, Gaoqing and run Silk Co., Ltd. formally signed the contract. Sericulture industry is developing rapidly. Gaoqing is known as the hometown of sericulture in China. The scale of silkworm mulberry base and the comprehensive utilization level of silkworm resources are among the highest in the province. Among them, "Gaoqing mulberry" is a national geographical indication product. It now has an area of 12 thousand mu, with an annual output of 1 million 200 thousand kilograms of cocoons and 1 million kilograms of mulberry. The total output value of cocoons, mulberry enzymes, mulberry wine, mulberry bud tea, silk quilt, silkworm grass and other related products is about 150 million yuan. According to Shao Zhuquan, deputy director of Gaoqing County, over the years, Gaoqing has established long-term and good cooperative relationship with Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Shandong provincial sericulture Research Institute. After the founding of Gaoqing, Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences and silkworm industry and Technology Research Institute will take this opportunity to push forward the sericultural health products industry development, actively explore new models and new varieties of silkworm breeding, give priority to the establishment of scientific and technological research and development projects, focus on polishing agricultural gold lettered signboards such as Gaoqing silkworm mulberry and Gao Qingsang mulberry, dig deep sericulture culture, strengthen mechanism innovation, and build win-win cooperation.
