    Moncler To Acquire Stone Island Parent Company

    On December 7, moncler announced that it had reached an agreement with sportswear company, the parent company of Stone Island, to acquire 100% of the latter's shares in cash of 1.15 billion euros. Two distinctive Italian brands, moncler and stone Island, will soon become one. After the news, moncler's share price rose 3.31%.

Like VF's acquisition of supreme, Stone Island, after joining the company, is expected to enter a high-speed process of globalization.     The acquisition will be divided into two parts. At the end of the deal, Carlo rivetti and the rivetti family will subscribe for 10.7 million newly issued shares of Monte at a price equivalent to 50% of the consideration, at a price of EUR 37.51 per share. Carlo rivertti is expected to join the board of directors of moncler after the transaction is executed.

    The remaining 30% of the shares of Temasek are in the hands of Temasek. This is also the basis for the completion of the 100% acquisition. The entire acquisition is expected to be completed in the first half of next year.

    From the perspective of performance, stone island's revenue in fiscal year 2020 (November 2019 to October 2020) was 240 million euro, an increase of 1% compared with the previous fiscal year. Considering the impact of the epidemic, it is a good performance to record the growth.

    In the traditional sense, moncler, which is considered to be only a down jacket, will expand its business to the field of fashion and leisure clothing after winning Stone Island. However, in fact, in the past, moncler has been making various attempts. For example, in 2018, it started the project of "monkey genius". Through the cooperation with different brands, it will not only make itself appear in the winter.

    The brands that have participated in this project include Rick Owens, JW Anderson, fragment design, 1017 alyx 9SM, rimowa, etc. they are all of different styles and have their own popularity like stone island. At the same time, moncler also shows its various ideas and creativity through the planning. The future of Stone Island is quite promising.

    Speaking of this, earlier, moncler has announced that it will launch a new series of its new series in China in September 2021, which will be released outside Milan.
