On December 21, we learned from the regional agricultural and rural bureau that the cotton yield of 12 demonstration fields with a total area of 430 Mu was determined. The average yield per mu was more than 400 kg, and the highest yield per mu reached 745.4 kg, a record high, which laid a good foundation for the promotion of cotton seed use mode in the region.

It is reported that on the basis of promoting the "one main and two auxiliary" cotton planting mode this year, the region will continue to promote the high-quality development of cotton in 2021, and promote the "one main and one auxiliary" seed use mode for County cotton varieties. At that time, each county (city) will select and determine the "one main and one auxiliary" cotton varieties in 2021 from the cotton variety catalog released by the region. At the same time, cotton production bases, cotton ginning plants and cotton spinning enterprises established within the region can organize production of their own varieties according to their needs.

In order to solve the problem of too many varieties of cotton and make the regional cotton industry bigger and stronger, this year, the region popularized the "one main and two auxiliary" cotton seed mode, vigorously promoted water-saving drip irrigation technology, continued to expand the proportion of machine picked cotton, and increased the management of cotton picking links, so as to ensure the success of the "one main two auxiliary" seed use mode in the same year.

This year, the "one main and two auxiliary" cotton production in various regions has achieved great results, and the cotton quality, yield per unit area, total yield and farmers' income have been greatly improved. The total cotton production in the region reached 1013300 tons, an increase of 3800 tons over the same period of last year. Among them, the yield of Upland Cotton (lint cotton) was 138.7 kg, with a year-on-year increase of 3.14 kg / mu, and that of long staple cotton (lint cotton) was 94.31 kg, with a year-on-year increase of 7.41 kg / mu.
