Foreign Trade Information: Download The Affirmative Final Judgment Document On Indonesia'S Safeguard Measures For Imported Clothing And Accessories

On February 23, 2021, the WTO Committee on safeguards issued the notification of safeguards submitted to it by the Indonesian delegation on 22 February. Indonesian investigation authority Imported Articles of apparel and clothing accessories (articles of apparel and clothing accessories) made a positive final judgment, and suggested that the Indonesian government should impose safeguard measures tax on the products involved for a period of three years (see Table 1: final determination results of Indonesia's safeguard measures for imported clothing and accessories). The case involved 7 categories of clothing and clothing accessories under 134 Indonesian tax codes (see Table 2: related to Product tax number). The implementation of the safeguard measures is subject to the decree issued by the Ministry of finance of Indonesia in its official gazette.

Interested parties shall submit written case consultation applications in both paper and electronic forms within 7 days after the announcement.

On October 1, 2020, in response to the application submitted by the Indonesian textile association on September 9, 2020, the Indonesian safeguard measures Commission initiated a case investigation on the safeguard measures for imported clothing and accessories. The investigation period is from 2017 to 2019.
