Jinxiu · World Silk Interactive Map Appears At UNESCO Headquarters

Jinxiu · World Silk Interactive Map recently demonstrated at UNESCO headquarters in Paris and held an expert consultation meeting. More than 12000 cultural relics, images, historical materials, crafts, sites, dyes, fibers and other seven categories of world silk cultural heritage resources information are presented on the digital platform in six languages: Chinese, English, French, Italian, Thai and Uzi.

At the end of 2019, the China Silk Museum, together with academic institutions such as Zhejiang University, Donghua University and Zhejiang University of Technology, successfully applied for the key research and development project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, "Research and Development and Demonstration of Key Technologies in the World Silk Interactive Map". The project is based on a global perspective, and based on the identification, dating, geographical tracing, technical restoration, modeling analysis, etc. of silk cultural relics, carries out research on the status quo and laws of the space-time distribution of silk heritage worldwide, builds the world silk knowledge model and map, and develops the world silk interactive map - Jinxiu Platform. Over the past three years, the project team has made continuous efforts to cooperate with silk cultural heritage experts around the world, and the platform has become increasingly perfect. The Jinxiu platform has received wide attention after its debut.
