It is understood that the team has restored six silk cultural relics unearthed in the tomb of Zhao Bo in the Huangyan Museum this time. Among them, the southern Song Dynasty Jiaoling bright ground gauze gown with lotus pattern, and the southern Song Dynasty silk shirt with double butterfly and branch pattern on the opposite front are national first-class cultural relics. These two first-class cultural relics, with a history of more than 800 years and exquisite weaving techniques, are known by experts as the "crown of Song costumes" and were once presented at the G20 Hangzhou Summit.

"It is a historical record and even more a cultural heritage to be able to digitally restore such precious clothing." Qian Diqing, a core member of the digital fashion team of Zhejiang Modern Textile Technology Innovation Center and a teacher of the School of International Fashion Technology of Zhejiang University of Technology, said that the digital restoration of clothing relics can be divided into two parts, one is the restoration of fabric patterns, One is the restoration of garment shape.

Due to the particularity of clothing cultural relics preservation, the team was unable to observe and take photos at a close distance. The only reference material was the pictures of some cultural relics provided by the Huangyan Museum. Previously, the team used digital media technology and 3D graphics and image technology to digitally restore the clothing patterns, fabric structures, clothing styles, and clothing wearing status unearthed from Zhao Boxuan's tomb, and put the clothing on the virtual elderly Zhao Boxuan.

Next, the team technicians used 3D technology to restore the physical properties of clothing by observing the fabric structure of clothing in the data, highlighting the characteristics of light, soft, thin and transparent silk fabrics. "The digital clothing we recovered using flexible simulation technology can be displayed in front of people just like the real fabric, that is, the sense of elegance we often say." Qian Diqing explained that he and the team finally restored the digital clothing relics 1:1.

It is understood that two years ago, under the leadership of Shaoxing Municipal People's Government, Keqiao District People's Government and Zhejiang University of Technology jointly established Zhejiang Modern Textile Technology Innovation Center, which is one of the first six Zhejiang Technology Innovation Centers approved by Zhejiang Provincial Government.
