The Second Training Course Of Green Low Carbon Alliance For Wool Textile Industry Was Successfully Held

On July 5, the second training course of Green Low Carbon Alliance for wool textile industry was successfully held online, and 22 enterprises from the industry participated in the training.

In order to cooperate with the smooth development of carbon emission project research in the wool textile industry in 2024/25, improve the carbon accounting level of member units, and complete the carbon footprint accounting of products in high quality. The China Maoist Association invited Professor Li Rong of Donghua University, Professor Wang Laili of Zhejiang University of Technology and Dr. Wang An of SGS SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd. to give professional presentations to the alliance units. Wang Ruizhe, deputy director of the General Department of the China Maoist Association, shared the international sustainable policy trends.

Liu Jiaqiang, President of the China Wool Textile Industry Association, said in his speech that in recent years, the China Wool Textile Association has focused on building the capacity for sustainable development of the industry, teamed up with industry forces to form a "green low-carbon alliance for the wool textile industry" and carried out a series of work, hoping that this training can effectively help the wool textile industry to successfully complete its carbon emission research project. Finally, he expressed his gratitude to the experts and scholars who have always supported the work of the Alliance.

Vice President Liu Dan presided over the meeting and gave a detailed introduction to the 2024/25 wool textile industry carbon emission research project.

Professor Li Rong of Donghua University explained the relevant standards and explained how to carry out product footprint accounting in practice.

Professor Wang Laili of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology trained on the key steps of carbon footprint accounting and data collection.

Dr. Wang An of SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd. explained in detail the carbon footprint assessment and carbon neutral roadmap of the fashion and wool industry to help enterprises make sustainable planning.

Wang Ruizhe, Deputy Director of the China Maoist Association, shared the latest trends in international sustainable textile policies and regulations.
