On July 18, a delegation led by the Textile Light Foundation went to Zhejiang Modern Textile Technology Innovation Center (Jianhu Laboratory) to pay a return visit to the first prize project of the "Textile Light" China Textile Union Science and Technology Award "Development and industrialization of ultra-fine mesoporous glass fiber cotton felt composite membrane barrier materials". Qi Dongming, Deputy Director of Zhejiang Modern Textile Technology Innovation Center, Qiu Xu, Head of the Scientific Research and Development Department, Li Jiawei, Project Team Member and Associate Researcher, and Zhu Chenkai, Doctor And other major completers participated in the discussion and exchange.
The development and industrialization project of ultra-fine mesoporous glass fiber cotton felt composite membrane barrier material won the first prize of the 2023 Science and Technology Award of China Textile Industry Federation. The main project builders are Qi Dongming, Yang Xiaoming, Zhang Yan, Li Jiawei, Zhu Chenkai, Zhou Lan, Xia Houjun, Wu Jindan, Guo Renxian, Li Yaobang, Ji Peng, Tu Daji, Yan Xiaofei, Wang Zhenpeng, Hu Delin, The main completion units are Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, Zhejiang Fulai New Material Co., Ltd., Modern Textile Technology Innovation Center (Jianhu Laboratory), Nanjing Glass Fiber Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Ouren New Material Co., Ltd. The project innovatively designs a material structure with ultra-fine mesoporous glass fiber cotton felt as the core material and multi-layer composite barrier film as the envelope. Breakthroughs have been made in ultra-fine mesoporous glass fiber and its hydrophobic cotton felt, graphitized polyimide PI multilayer barrier film, ultrasonic response thermal adhesive and vacuum packaging technology, Integrated and innovated the industrialization technology of high-performance barrier materials with independent intellectual property rights, and realized large-scale production.
Zhu Chenkai introduced the background and general idea of the award-winning project, innovation points and technical content, technological advancement and intellectual property rights, application and promotion, economic and social benefits and other important information. The project has 25 authorized invention patents (including 2 European and American patents), 5 utility model patents, and 1 national and industrial standard respectively. The project has built 5 production lines, and the project technology has derived a series of products, which have been successfully applied in the fields of ARJ21 regional airliner, aeroengine, 5G mobile phone barrier film, building insulation, etc. The project has broken through the patent technical barriers of international giants. In terms of ultra-fine mesoporous glass fiber, graphitization of PI film, structural design of multi-layer composite film, ultrasonic vacuum heat sealing, etc., it has realized parallel operation with multinational enterprises or import substitution; A complete technical system of high-end barrier materials has been formed. It plays an active role in promoting the technical progress of special fibers, functional membranes and composite barrier materials in China; A scientific research talent team has been formed to meet the national strategic needs of high-end barrier materials and benchmark the international top technical product level, which can help the new development of specialized industrial textile materials.
Participants exchanged information on the industrial application, cross-border integration, upstream and downstream cooperation of the industrial chain of the project. Qi Dongming said that in addition to the identified high-end application scenarios, the project is also focusing on the expansion of the civil field and actively exploring a larger application space. He further said that the promotion of applied basic research projects is of great significance. In the process of promoting such projects, first of all, we should consider whether they have a clear application scenario, second, we should consider the actual needs of the enterprise, and take cost control as an important consideration factor. Third, we should also fully consider the scalability of applied basic research, and thoroughly investigate whether they have the potential and ability to achieve large-scale applications to ensure the long-term development and sustainable benefits of the project.

The functional forming technology of textile based high-end dressings and its application in complex wounds won the first prize of the 2023 Science and Technology Award of the China Textile Industry Federation. The project was mainly completed by Gao Jing, Wang Lu, Lu Jianguo, Wang Fujun, Hu Xiuyuan, Cao Rong, Wen Hai, Wu Hao, Guan Guoping, Li Chaojing, Li Yan, Mao Jifu, Tan Shaojie, Song Ziyu, Yuan Xiangnan, The main completion units are Donghua University, Zhende Medical Supplies Co., Ltd., the Second Affiliated Hospital of Naval Military Medical University, Huashan Hospital of Fudan University, and Shanghai Biqu Medical Technology Co., Ltd.

Gao Jing introduced the project background, general idea, technical innovation points and contents, technical parameters and their advancement, as well as promotion and economic and social benefits. She said that independent research and development of high-end dressings applied to complex wounds is the key to breaking technical barriers and improving the competitiveness of China's dressings in the global market. The project has established 3 high-end dressing production lines, authorized 15 invention patents, approved 5 Class III medical device registration certificates, 3 Class II medical device registration certificates, and 2 CE registrations. The products cover 34 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government. The coverage rate of top 100 hospitals in the country is 96%, and the coverage rate of top three hospitals is 100%. The products are sold to 73 countries and regions.
Innovation of new products is the cornerstone for enterprises to maintain vitality, and high-end dressings are the key development direction of Zhende Medical in the future. Xu Jieming mentioned that in the in-depth cooperation with Donghua University, Zhende Medical clearly put forward specific needs based on industrialization, while Donghua University actively carried out technological innovation and upgrading in the field of scientific research, further promoting the deepening of bilateral cooperation. He said that the medical industry has always taken safety as the criterion, showing the characteristics of small steps and fast walking. Products need to be constantly verified by the market, so as to achieve innovation.
