Release Of Group Standard For Classification Of Textile Intangible Cultural Heritage

In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Administrative Measures for the Group Standards of the China Textile Industry Federation, the China Textile Industry Federation approved the issuance of the group standard T/CNTAC230-2024 Classification of Textile Material and Chemical Heritage on December 31, 2024, which will be implemented from January 1, 2025.

This standard was jointly proposed by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office of the China Textile Industry Federation and the Science and Technology Development Department of the China Textile Industry Federation, and is under the jurisdiction of the Standardization Technology Committee of the China Textile Industry Federation.

The group standard of the Classification of Textile Intangible Cultural Heritage was jointly drafted by Tongxiang Fengtongyu Blue Printed Fabric Co., Ltd., Changzhou Meisheng Biological Materials Co., Ltd., Jiaxing Nanxiu Siyu Silk Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Baide Textile Co., Ltd. and China Textile Economic Research Center.

The formulation of this standard can give a clearer understanding of the diversity and uniqueness of textile intangible cultural heritage. The classification of textile intangible cultural heritage projects is mainly based on the characteristics of the textile industry, the classification of China's national economic industries and consumer goods, and the category of national intangible cultural heritage representative projects Clothing (traditional skills and folk customs), household textiles (traditional skills), textile arts and crafts (traditional arts and crafts) and comprehensive and other five categories.
